Kenneth Cross: I have used a number of Walk Thru the Bible’s devotionals over the years and they never disappoint. There were many days when the topic really hit on an issue I was dealing with in my life, even in a year as unusual as 2020. I knocked off a star due to two relatively minor issues that, in my opinion, hinder the overall effectiveness of the devotional.
My primary reason for knocking off a star is the devotional’s attempt to cover all the stages of life—from young, unmarried adult to being newly empty-nested. Almost as many times as I found the day’s devotional to have been a homerun, I often found the material to have not even made the drive to the ballpark of where I am in life (one child halfway through college and another in the last years of high school). I found very little to help my spiritual growth from devotionals aimed directly at those in stages of life I passed through years (or decades) ago. I understand the publisher’s goal to appeal to as broad an audience as possible, but I believe they would have been better served to split up the life stages and publish a series of devotionals under the same title with more focused writings on challenges specific to...

SRA: I'm enjoying the principles of the topics however it seems that it's written around the American male. I wish if there was a version that was not so general. this does not satisfy my devotional time.
