Matt C: I've installed many many many of these over the years, great little UPS's to keep network equipment alive before a generator kicks in, but this is the first time I opened a sealed box, and the screws to secure the rack ears to the unit were nowhere to be found. Bummer.

Larry B: I use this to run my home networks switch and firewall. The other night my power was out for a couple of hours and it ran them just fine until the power was back on. Nice for the price.

I have a home media server running Ubuntu and found this UPS to be simple to setup on Linux, and it works great. No more dropping the server due to short power outages! It has enough power for the server, monitor, and NAS drive for 10+ minutes at least.
Update 11/5/2020: The UPS failed on me: self-test showed failure and a power failure resulted in the connected equipment going immediately offline. I contacted CyberPower since I was within the warranty period, and they sent me new batteries to fix the problem, but it did not. On the second try they sent me an entirely new unit, overnight since I was going out of town that weekend. The new unit has been working great since installation. Nobody likes the hassle of failed equipment, but the most important thing is that CyberPower were responsive and took care of the issue quickly and without a lot of hassle for me. I still recommend this unit.

TL;DR - This product works as expected and protects my home network from downtime due to home power loss. Power Strips are good for situations where you have WHOLE HOME battery backup. This option works for those who need just a few items in a rack.
When I made the decision to purchase a rack for my gear I picked up originally a rack mounted power strip, as I had a few battery back-up units I figure I could just plug the strip into one of them and have my rack covered for the occasional power interruption that occurs. Well the dreaded blip in power came and all of my gear turned off and I scratched my head. First I figured it was a bad battery but I let it charge for a day and checked and it said I had over 100 minutes. I pulled the power and poof the rack turned off. After about 30 minutes of online research I quickly discovered that battery backup's require each item plugged in and no use of power strips before power nor attached to the rear.
Armed with my new information I searched for a low cost rack mounted option with a weight requirement. This item showed up and has worked like a champ for me. I charged it for 16 hours prior to...

Totalmente recomendado.

J. S.: I bought this to protect my NAS as well as other network gear from power surges/fluctuations and outages. For that, this is just right. It doesn't have a lot of front panel indications but I don't need that. What I mainly needed is something that would talk to my Synology NAS and shut it down in case of power failure. All I had to do is connect the two via USB and then config Synology. I pulled the power and it worked like a charm.
