This is a SOLID heavy duty hitch. One piece casting with 15k rated ball. I would imagine the truck would break before this would.

I've owned boats for over 30+ years and have had a few hitches in my time. This hitch is full encased steel meaning the shaft is not hollow. It's very well made and has no problem hauling a total boat and trailer weight over 8,000lbs.
