vab251: My antique GE waffle iron died, and I had recently bought a $10 mini waffle maker here that renewed my love of waffles.
Pros: Fast. The good non-stick coating does not require seasoning or fats. Accurate indicator lights. Stands up to store.
Cons: The temperature slider is too easy to move and is easily moved accidentally. The hinge is sloppy. The top does not float to adjust to remain level with things thicker than just standard waffles.
For the price, I definitely recommend it.

When the waffle is done a green light comes on as per the heat settings, which you can choose... 1-5 .... three+ is nice and chrisply . I really like this waffle maker.

Virgil P: I have been a square waffle lover for a long time (am 78 in Oct), but this waffle maker is perfect! It has a very small storage footprint and is so quick - about 1 minute (That's ONE minute) and you may vary the crispness with a lever on the front handle next to the indicator light. All my friends are going to be shocked when I serve them 'round' waffles and they are so rapid in production!
I'll post any problems here if I have 'em!

R R: Lo he para hacer waffles de avena con huevo, ha funcionado perfecto. Lo he puesto a prueba con otras preparaciones como hashbrown, waffles de calabacita con queso y huevo, incluso homelete de huevo.

Calienta parejo y no se pega nada usando un poco de aceite en spray. No lo he utilizado sin aceite.
Tiene el tamaño perfecto y se puede guardar fácilmente. Sí lo volvería a comparar.

Baccara: Product makes excellent waffles-I used my own recipe-but I found the setting at 3 the best. I turned it on to high heat and let the smell burn off about 5 times before I actually made my first waffles. This appliance is heavy and a bit awkward on a small counter-Make sure it is set up for you before turning it on. Be careful lifting the top once it is hot. The handle to open is very short-I burned myself because I did not keep my fingers close to the edge-NOT a very good handle depth, especially since waffles cook amazingly fast and you may need to move quickly to remove-dangerous if there are any children around-family cooks have more than one thing to think about when cooking. Original cleaning before use was difficult but now I know how it works, future waffles will be quick and easy. I am very happy with my purchase and will use a potholder to lift the lid when hot-Product arrived 4 days before expected-lightening speed delivery. :)

C. Moore: I purchased this item about a year ago. I tried making a waffle, but it stuck so badly. Finally I got it all cleaned and decided to try other reviewers suggestions such as use pam spray before you pour your waffle mix and put oil in the waffle mix and it still didn't work.
I never used the waffle iron again. The waffles stuck so bad that it was impossible to get it cleaned. I threw it away.
Why did I give it five stars? Call me crazy, but I bought another one. I thought I would give it another try. It worked. It didn't stick at all. I Here is the trick to do when you first get this waffle iron. Like another reviewer said, I used the Pam spray before pouring the waffle batter and I also added vegetable oil to the waffle mix. On my first purchase I used the Pam and added oil to the waffle mix, but the waffles stuck. On my second purchase I did everything the same (used Pam and oil in the mixture), BUT I did something different. I put the waffle dial between 4 and 5. After I poured the waffle mix in, I waited for the green light to come on. Note: you get a green light when the waffle maker is ready for you to pour the mix in and once you do and close the lid it turns red and...
