Jma:
Traded up from a little electric chopper to this Cuisinart. It works amazing, and is easy to clean up. Everything can go in the dishwasher too. After having a mini chopper which you could not fit an entire large onion in, this 3 cup capacity makes the job so much easier. The little scrapper/spatula that came with it make scrapping out all the pieces a snap because it is the perfect size.
Some of the reviews gave it a low rating because of it did not do what they expected. My comment is: This is a mini food processor, not to be used for items that require a lot of power. Never use any food processor for mash potatoes some people need to learn to cook and read directions. This little guy is great for chopping onions, nuts, mixing things that do not require a very heavy, sticky consistency that causes strain on the motor and cause it to burn out. That's why they make full size food processors that have much stronger motors.
I use it for prepping everything, celery & carrots dicing, onions & garlic. Remember this is a chop or grind button. If you want larger pieces be sure to pulse, Do not hold the button down.
For the price of this...

KendraKat: I would give this product 5 stars if it held more food. I know, I know, I purchased a MINI-prep, I should expect it to only process small jobs. The thing I didn't realize though, is that you can't really fill these things to maximum capacity or even close to it. You can fill it about 2/3 full before it starts to not process well. All that being said, this thing is the BEST for very small processing jobs. A cup of nuts, salad dressing, sauce for rice bowls... For those things it works GREAT! The light green color is exactly what I wanted and matches my kitchen perfectly. It is simple to use with only 2 buttons - although I don't see much difference between the chop and grind button. They are helpful to alternate though, as it reverses the blade and keeps things from getting stuck in the processor. I have actually made some pretty large batches of food with this little thing, it just takes 4 or 5 uses with the processor to get the job done. For a mini processor, this thing is great. Don't expect this thing to do anything more than a small job and you won't be disappointed one bit. When they come out with the papa version in the same color, I will be...

I Do The Speed Limit:
I debated for three weeks whether to purchase a three-cup or a four-cup mini processor. I guess I call it a chopper/grinder. Was the three-cup going to be large enough to hold the amounts used for a normal recipe (for 4-6 servings)? Was the four-cup too large for convenience? I settled on the three-cup and I'm writing this review to say that I made the right decision. There are a lot of reviews here, and while I debated this issue of three- versus four-cup I read many of them. What? Nobody else seemed to have the same debate going? So, I guess, I'm adding a new thought here that someone else might find useful. I don't usually post a review for items that already have hundreds listed.
While doing my research several people warned me, "Careful! Three cups is pretty small". Well, yeah, it is--especially if you are comparing it to a full-size processor. This machine is not meant to be used as a regular-sized processor. Try to use it for a "full-size" job and no doubt you will be disappointed!
I wanted a little processor to prep small jobs. It needed to be handy enough so that I would actually use it. I had gotten into the habit of standing...

Sandee Childs: My smaller 2 cup Cuisinart Mini-prep wore out after processing a few hundred pounds of nuts, herbs, etc over the 15 years that I used it. This one has a one cup larger bowl (3 cups) and I LOVE it! 2 bunches of parsley for tabouli takes a few seconds. Grind nuts with a few pulses! Blend those overripe bananas for banana bread with the other wet ingredients lickety split! Great kitchen appliance that I’m so very happy with.
