The Cuisinart FP-11SV Elemental Food Processor is the perfect choice for those seeking optimal blending power and overall performance. Its silver finish is easy to maintain, and it operates at a low noise level. Visit the Cuisinart Store today to experience the best Food Processors on the market. AM in British Columbia, Canada: This 550 w Cuisinart states it is 11 cup. HUH? The maximum line is 7 cup and 9 cup mark is less than
1/4 inch from the overflow point. I can get 8 cups into the work bowl without liquid gushing from the top. I actually filled 11 cups into the work bowl and it was even with top of bowl. Nobody would ever use it to full capacity...so 11 cups is very deceiving! Even at 9 cups you are risking liquid overflow. Like many things you buy today, the packaging or product claims it is seriously large, until you open it up and find you only have 1/2 product in it. Marketing! At least is is bigger than my old Cuisinart workhorse. Otherwise, has great power and does a better job than my old 25 year old Cuisinart. Will keep it. The price was very good - so in that department I guess you get what you pay for ..... or do you??

Oryx: Just got this yesterday and didn't have the chance yet to put it through the ringer. I got it to upgrade my old, cheap and basic Hamilton Beach food processor that has served me well for the last 8 years but is now on it's last leg and ready to go any minute now.
First impressions are good. Quiet and powerful. Lighter than expected. Easy to clean. Feeding tube is spacious in comparison to the size of the bowl. Don't expect to put a whole apple through though, but I don't think any processor can actually do that. The blade is easy to remove once you're done thanks to an indentation on the top of it that you can easily grasp, which was an issue with my old HB.
As for the size of the bowl, yes you can basically only put 9 cups into it but since I knew that when I ordered it, it is not an issue for me. Even 9 cups is still a good bowl size unless you're planning on making huge batches of whatever you're making. I find it sufficient.
First time I used it I had some trouble not pureeing vegetables that I was trying to chop but looks like I just put too much in at once, if you want to chop things, they need space to actually move around. Looks like it will do a good...

Jeff JonesJeff Jones: Box came damaged. Obviously opened and re-packaged. Opened it up, not packaged properly with pieces unsecured. Opened everything to see the main mixing container had a huge crack across the entirety of it and even a piece of dough in there for good measure. We had no idea we were purchasing a used or open-box item with no indication on the product listing (listing from Cuisinart’s page on Amazon no-less). How did this pass quality control even if it was an open box? Clearly won’t purchase a Cuisinart product again.
