As a professional gardener, I'm particular about my tools. These have served me very well the past several months. One word of advice, that does not reflect on the quality of the tool:
Yesterday I was pruning a Japanese maple that had a support dowel wedged at the base. Knowing the age of the tree, it had probably been there 20 years. It was about a quarter inch round and mottled brown. I assumed it was made of wood, and went to chop it off with my new loppers. That's when I discovered it was a solid steel bar. Naturally, my loppers did not cut through it, but it put a significant dent in my nice sharp blades. Lesson learned.
