Coast to Coast LLC: Finding a good electric kettle that doesn't have plastic and not super expensive is a challenge. This one is big but It's ninja quiet and the quality of the pot itself is great. So many reviews say how bad the pot quality is. It's also cool to the touch at all times. We just use it to make a cup or two of pour over coffee at a time and are really happy with this purchase!

JingJing: I had been on the hunt for a water kettle with an all-stainless steel interior, and this purchase exceeded my expectations. Not only does it boil water quickly, but it also operates quietly, which is a pleasant surprise. The absence of plastic inside the kettle gives me peace of mind about the water quality. The simple and user-friendly interior design makes cleaning a breeze. I boil hot water multiple times a day, and I’ve been through many expensive ones and this kettle checks all the boxes for me – fast, quiet, and plastic-free. The only thing to improve would be the outside material, if they upgrade it to a better material I’ll definitely buy another one in future.

Amazon Customer: This kettle is awesome. A few things:
Pros:
1. It boils water in about 6 mins at the fill line. Quicker than most others these days (though much older 2007 brands did it in 3… but for some reason none do that today).
2. It doesn’t hurt to the touch. So safe there.
3. It doesn’t have an outer meter to read where the water level is (a pro bc these tend to create leaks over time). I like the simplicity of this design bc that means: less issues in the future to be concerned with and better sustainability.
4. The fill line is a bit lower than the top of the kettle which is good design so that one doesn’t spill it on themselves. (This would make a perfect cafe kettle).
5. The color is fantastic.
6. The handle is comfortable
7. It’s easy to fill and has a large spout.

Cons:
1. It’s a bit bulky and I kind of wish it were slightly smaller. Takes some getting used to.

Brian L. Gentry: I've bought half a dozen tea kettles from Amazon. Most of them have had some kind of plastic smell or taste after they get hot. On some it goes away, comes back, goes away again. The smell and taste of plastic can't be good for your health, especially if you are ingesting some of the plastic chemicals in the water you drink from the kettle.

So this time I decided to NOT buy a glass kettle because they all seem to have plastic somewhere. This CookTron has only stainless steel inside. As far as I can see, the only thing that touches the water is metal. The hinges are plastic, but the lid seals shut with only stainless touching the boiling chamber; the hinges are outside of the chamber.

From the first use I was impressed with this kettle. There is absolutely no smell or taste of plastic. The only scent I get is of water and metal. The tea I've made using this tastes great.

Boiling takes about the same time as other kettles; maybe a little faster? It's hard to say. I can tell you a few other big differences though: This kettle is double walled and the outside never gets more than just "warm". There is nearly zero risk of being burned by the body of the kettle....
