Rob: The photo at the front does not do the book justice a easy to write off as another book with the same old
I have read so much rubbish about woks etc but this guy avoided and just got down to what counts and is important, Recipes concise and again no filling with unnecessaries. Very impressed and sincerely do recommend to get authentic recipes and the true Chinese experience
As I say wish I’d bought earlier and saved money.

embrlady: Because I've been recovering from cancer surgery and some foods had a strange taste, we wanted to try our hand at some of our favorite Chinese foods. We went "whole hog" and purchased a Wok, learned how to season it properly, and bought this cookbook on several recommendations. We have several recipes that have since become favorites and will be trying others as time goes by. For the most part, most of the ingredients can be found easily at the Chinese market we found in a neighboring town. All in all, it's been a great process, but we're still learning.

mcjames: Hey people! I received my cookbook today! I love Chinese Food, but would prefer to learn how to make the dishes myself. I looked through some of the recipes and I'm super amped! I know it will probably take a few tries, but ... I'm excited! As soon as I try one of the recipes, I will post pics and reviews! I do see some of my favs so those will come first! The Drawback: Amazon's delivery people. This particular package a a few others from my household were left in the lobby of a 64-Unit Apartment Building. I had no idea it was there. My neighbor brought it me ... Thank God! Well, that's my review for today! It's raining and I'm off to the market to get the ingredients I will need to make my very own Pot Stickers! YaYY!!!

Stephen P. Percoco: I bought this cookbook because it had a recipe for General Tso's chicken, which my granddaughter really likes. It was a simple and straightforward recipe. I will say that the texture of the chicken was not the same as what I get from the restaurants (they must use some type of batter, rather than just corn starch), but the sauce was spot on and easy to make. My granddaughter loves it and she often asks me to make more. So far, I have only tried one other recipe, the Szechuan shrimp fried rice, which was also very good (even though I improvised because I did not have all the ingredients). I have looked over the other recipes and they likewise seem simple and doable. Over time, I hope to work my way through the book. While the recipes so far don't hold up perfectly against a very good Chinese restaurant, you can enjoy the very good quality food at home without slaving away over long and complicated recipes in the kitchen.
