I love the double sided scanning.

Ruky: I usually do not write reviews unless I really like something. So here goes!!
Once you figure out the dynamics of downloading and connecting, it is such a breeze to use and can be used from different locations in the office.
If you scan a lot, this is ideal as all you need to do is insert the paper, sit back and wait for the magic to unfold!!

S. Werley: I have been buying, owning & operating tech gadgets since the late 70's and this scanner ranks up there with the best on that list.
Just look at these features:
a) USB or Wi-Fi option
b) compact size - easy to pull out when needed and then store for later - not a lot of desk space
c) duplex scans of standard paper document in about 2 seconds each
d) duplex scans photos at 600dpi in about 5 seconds each
e) auto top feeder (about 10 sheets) or manual front feed
We have another brand's multi-function color laser unit that we bought several years ago (for a good chunk of cash) which has served us well. However when the wife suggested we scan all our old photos (boxes & boxes of loose photos and shelves of photo albums) - I knew I was not going to spend years scanning two or three photos at a time with that thing's flatbed scanner.
I read the reviews and most suggest another brand's scanner that is almost twice the price of this one. I decided to take a chance and be a bit more thrifty and it has worked out more than I could have hoped for. Mostly that decision came down to this model's manual front feeder.
In one week I have spent...

Mr MM: I really like this scanner and I'm soo glad I finally bought it after hemming and hawing for months. It's helping me tame the piles of paperwork that accumulate over time: receipts, statements, notices from banks etc. I get a great sense of satisfaction for each document I scan and shred :-)
I'm using the scanner on a Windows 11 laptop and on my Samsung Galaxy S23 phone. The scanned documents get saved to a SCANNED-DOCO folder on the laptop. The documents scanned on my phone are saved to a Google Drive folder and on the laptop, it's a quick drag and drop to the SCANNED-DOCO folder.
All the documents on my laptop are saved to the cloud and I can access them from a phone app. So, if I'm at the dentists office and there's a discrepancy on a payment, I can pull up the relevant documents (pre-treatment authorizations, receipts, EOBs etc.) on my phone and get things sorted out quickly.
PROS
# Small footprint - the U-turn feeder is great.
# VERY fast
# The phone app is amazing and it works well
# Reliable connectivity to WiFi
# Long power cord
CONS
# Setup is a little difficult
# I find the Windows app clunky and confusing
# Extraction...

Amazon Customer: Fujitsu's ScanSnap iX1300 is a huge improvement over the 1300 I'd been using at least weekly since 2012. This one is way faster, with readily configurable batch settings [though the graphic design of its interface still follows a rather 2000s Windows aesthetic]. Its OCR has been accurate so far. It even has a front-face slot to scan credit cards. Highly recommended. Worth the price.

Peter Evans: I have been using Fujitsu scanners for years now but needed a new one to help me close up a house with thousands of documents and pictures. This machine is amazing. Such a tiny foot print yet handles large volumes of documents with ease. Printed documents go into the automatic document feeder. Irregular items like photographs and receipts are put in the front. Scanning is so far and the documents returned so efficiently. Creating new files is easy. With any other scanner cataloguing my files and possessions would have taken more than a week. With this machine it was all done in less than a day.

Crouton Coleslaw: I've had 2 Fujitsu ScanSnap scanners for at least 10 years that have worked great. I needed another small duplex scanner for one of my health care offices to scan insurance cards and driver's licenses.
I opted for price and first ordered the Brother DS-740D Duplex Compact Mobile Document Scanner. What a piece of junk, lousy interface and zero support. RETURNED!
A buddy of mine with over 40 clinics' secretary recommends Ambir. That's what she has on her desk. So I figure, good enough for them, good enough for me, and order the Ambir Technology PS667 Simplex A6 Card for the sake of price. It's not duplex, and that is a pain in the butt. You have to manually turn the card over and scan twice. I can't live with that. RETURNED!
So I bite the bullet and buy the Ambir DS490-A3P ImageScan Pro 490i Duplex ID Card and Document Scanner. It has a nice small footprint, and is decent hardware, but the interface was somewhat wonky, and it only scanned cards. I thought maybe I could do better, so... RETURNED! Thank you and sorry Ambir.
Searching further, I discover this affordable, Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1300 Compact Wi-Fi Document Scanner in white, that duplex scans...

Christopher G Voytek: ScanSnap devices have been my go-to for years. They work almost instantly out of the box, are fast, simple software, easy to maintain. Get the sleeves and you're off to the races.
