Compact Projector for Home or Office Use

case: I bought this for a cheap projector for traveling on the road. I picked this one because of all of the good reviews for it, but I honestly am let down a bit by this purchase. I haven’t bought a projector before so I don’t know what to compare it to but the picture is good but still not as good as I was expecting but the biggest problem I have with this thing is the NOISE. Maybe it’s meant to be used in bigger spaces or something but this thing hums CONSTANTLY and it’s incredibly annoying. Especially when no sound is playing, it’s just so loud. Not sure if this is just “normal” for projectors or if this is just a big flaw but either way it’s making me regret I didn’t look into other options before this purchase.

Becky VBecky V: Great projector for the cost!! I don’t know much about projectors but I know for the cost it isn’t bad. It isn’t movie theater quality of film but it definitely is nice for a home. The pictures included show how it looks on my white wall and the “screen” is about 7 feet across and 13 feet from the projector. It isn’t blurry around the edges and overall has a pretty good clarity. When you look up close it is pixelated but if you’re far away you cannot see it.

Biggest issue : Color Contrast. I have tried every single color mode and it is either too bright (which erases features) or too dull (which dims features). It doesn’t matter when it’s night because the screen is great but when it’s morning, it is very noticeable.

NOTE: I initially purchased a used one in “great condition” but whoever returned it, put a 10 year old projector back in it attempting to scam Amazon! I contacted Amazon immediately and they replaced it with a brand new one at no extra cost to me though!

Jill: i needed something quick to use for a last minute wall mural and grabbed this. it’s small but had good picture quality. i was impressed that you could also do movies and have sound project from it as well, although i haven’t used those features. it wasn’t difficult to use or set up either. very simple.
i was able to adjust the crispness of the image with ease and see my lines fairly well. and the fact that it came with an hdmi cord was awesome. i didn’t need to hunt one down.

however, one of the things i didn’t realize was that you can’t necessarily zoom in or out to fit the wall size, like i am able to do with more expensive ones.
as in, initially, i wasn’t super far away from the wall i needed to project on, so the image appeared smaller than i wanted. i had to find a way to physically back up with the projector for the image to appear bigger/cover more of the wall the way i needed it to. But i think had i actually read the description instead of buying in a rush, i would’ve known that. error on me more than a machine complaint

i may be switching it out for something with the picture resizing feature as i really need it, but...

JunqiangJunqiang: Easy to use. The remote is very convenient. The picture quality is good enough, very bright and clear. My daughter likes it very much. She keeps asking to use the "new big tv" to watch Peppa Pig all the time. You must adjust both focus and keystone to get best picture quality, especially for the edge area. I found that if the keystone tilt too much, it will be difficult to get both the center and edge area well focused, so I usually keep the projecter as flat as possible possible to get best performance. It is not a fancy one, but good enough as a budgt choice.

Christy: The video quality is good, I'm cheap and bought a cheap sheet to turn into the screen on my wall. figured that way i can wash it once it gets dusty since it's a flat white sheet. Sounds good but not loud enough for me, so I hooked it up with RCA cables to a sound bar. You can download 3rd party android apps and install like Popcorn time and stream movies and tv shows off the web with the built in wifi. Also has netflix app and other apps. It has 16gb of built in storage for apps, two USB ports in the back and well as RCA inputs 3 cables, and RCA outputs for sound only. Two HDMI jacks. the price alone with the wifi would give it 5 stars, the video quality is good at 720p and is good enough for a budget projector. I would have given it 5 stars but the sound not being loud enough for me brought it down a star. It sounds good just not loud. But then again any speakers and these wouldn't be enough for a huge 160" projection on the wall, I just wish it had digital out for surround sound. remember in my photos I'm using a sheet that doesn't have the folds out. it will look even better once the folds work their way out
