Luke Kutrich: Have purchased about 6 or so units now at this point. Very easy to recharge and seems to do well in all spaces I've placed them. Vehicles, gun safe, and even an outside small book library. Just don't drop them on a hard surface as it might come apart.

Rolf E.: I installed this in a storage cabinet. It works great and is so simple to plug in to dry out every month. It works well and the fact it is reusable is great. I just plug it in overnight and it is completely dry to use for another month.

KJ: I like that this is much easier than "damp rid" or other similar product. I find it works relatively well, however the space it is in is EXTREMELY damp so I don't think anything except a full size dehumidifier running constantly would work 100%.

A few hours after I put this in my cold room/pantry, I noticed a massive difference!

I am very impressed all things considering, and wish I could have gotten a larger option! I am not sure if that exists but it didn't seem to when I purchased this option. For places slightly moist or high humidity, this little gadget would absolutely do the trick! I kind of wish I would have had one of these in my hockey bag growing up...
If you are going to buy one, get a second so when you are drying out the first one, the second one can keep working for you or you will have damp times between dry times!

quisten8: Update: It's been about half a year now and it's still working fine or at least nothing has failed. My comments below stand.

In our place near the coast we have a couple of this company's small plug-in units, which work similar to AC, via a fan, and collect water in a reservoir for emptying (I use the water for plants). The units have worked great for nearly 10 years, though recently they started making noise, so we're replacing the fans.

In the meantime, I purchased this thing to tide us over. After a few weeks, the beads had darkened enough that I tried recharging it for the first time, plugging it into a grounded 2-to-6-outlet expansion multi-plug. About an hour later, I unplugged it from the multi-plug to check it since the dehumidifier has holes on the back as well as the front. Not too surprisingly, I found that condensation had accumulated on the surface of the multi-plug, right next to the plug slots! It looked like if I hadn't checked it, it might have formed drops that would have run INTO the electrical socket. NO WAY that is safe (likely short; possible shock or fire; damage to electrical). John Edwards: Dryer looked and worked very well untill it needed to be recharged (dried out) and I found that the inbuilt power plug was for the USA not Australia. Yes the say 50/60 Hz 110- 240 volts and was shipped from Australian stock.

Leon Bovell: This little thing is handy and portable (no wires) and it can easily be hung on a bar or a radiator in the bathroom where I keep mine to stop mould from appearing but I have one pet peeve about it. I use it for the obvious reason of getting rid of the humidity in the air within the house however when the dehumidifier is "wet" (as in full of water), in order to get rid of the water, you have to plug it into the mains (Quick side note, the Eva-Dry only has a 110v plug, you will need a 240v adaptor for it to work in the UK). Upon plugging it in, it releases the same very water (into the air) that you got it to catch in the first place which kinda defeats the purpose.
All in all, yes it does it's job, but when it comes to recharging it, I've had to purchase a plug-in dehumidifier to catch the water (steam) that the Eva-Dry releases.

Bethanne SchrecengostBethanne Schrecengost: I've had this in my car for about 3 weeks and it's working out really well. My 21 year old car sits alot and has a leak around the sunroof, so the water gets in and it's hot and humid, and next thing I know I've got green fur growing on my seats.

The car has sat in the uncovered lot at the airport for 2 different weeks in the Florida sun and afternoon thunderstorms, so I was expecting the worst when I got back, but the inside of my car was fine. Since I put this little guy in my car I haven't had a problem with mold. A few people have reviews that say the dehumidifier burned up when they went to recharge it, but I've recharged it a couple times and haven't had any problems with that.

I highly recommend it for use in a car that sits an extended period of time.

4-Month Update: Well it's January 2021, bought this back in Sept. and it is now not recharging right. It looks like the beads were burned during a recharge or something. No idea if it still works or not. Supposed to come with a 5-yr warranty, but website says it has to be registered within 30 days, which is a load of crap since I have proof of purchase from Amazon, so they can see I bought it and when it...
