Don AZ: I bought this pack for my trip to Australia later in the year. I wanted something light and easy to pack in the suitcase. I found this little gem and I love it. I got the pack a couple of weeks ago and tossed it aside after taking out of the box. I looked at how small and flat it was and liked the size. Later that night I opened it up and unfolded it. I was really happy with the capacity and the number of pockets and compartments. I decided to take it to work the next day to see how it worked. I really don't carry that much in my work pack. Some snacks, my badge, some light first aid items, extra phone charger and battery and a few other miscellaneous items. All my items didn't even put a dent in the room of the pack. I used it for a few days and found it to be very handy and very capable of day to day use. Saturday morning I thought I would check out how it folds up into the small package that it came as. I wanted to be able to put it in my suitcase for my trip. I am a pretty handy guy around the house but for the life of me couldn't get the thing to resemble the way it came from Amazon! After about an hour and some choice words I gave up. A few...

Great as a hiking or travel day pack and surprisingly sturdy.
This will last a long time. The zippers slide easily without catching on the bag and seem heavy duty but light.
It's more spacious than most packables and I like the 2 big exterior pockets for organizing, although it means no zipper pocket inside for valuables because it packs down into one of the outside ones. It does not pack down quite as small, since it is bigger. Sometimes the obvious needs to be stated.
Not sure what you would use the tiny mesh pockets on the shoulder straps for. Too narrow for a phone and even sunglasses would have to be pretty narrow because the elastic at the top is not very stretchy.
The mesh water bottle side pockets come right up to the bottom of the lid of a 1 L Nalgene, which is great. Not going to be losing them! Note: They do cave the pack in at the sides, making the interior significantly smaller, so you need to put the bottles in before packing the interior of the bag. A narrower bottle would stay put too, as long as there was stuff in the pack pressing out against it.
Comfy enough to carry when full of soft items (even with 2 bottles of water) but not...

Syl:
We bought three of these, one for each family member, for a month-long trip to Asia last year, as we needed a light, roomy, versatile day-pack which could be easily stored in a small suitcase when not in use. Based on the price and light-weight material, I merely hoped the pack would last the month; anything longer would be a bonus.
Well. It's been over a year, and not only did all three packs survive being lugged on planes, boats, buses and bullet-trains, mine has since accompanied me on a multitude of other trips both long and short and is still performing magnificently; the other two family members have had equally good experiences with theirs. My pack is showing a little wear in the inner rubberized lining-material near the top of the pack, probably due to the fact that I tend to grab the pack by the material rather than the top handle; my son's pack shows no such wear, and not surprisingly he says he always grabs his by the handle.
We've washed the packs a number of times in a front-load washer in cold water, then hung to dry. They still look great. Zipper-binding hasn't been an issue. Pack stores lots of stuff, great compartment divisions,...

TP:
I've been using this backpack for about 7 months now and I love it! I did a lot of research before I bought it , reading a lot of Amazon reviews about a lot of lightweight but strong backpacks. The specs of this backpack sounded right to me, but my decision to buy it was mostly based on its overwhelmingly positive reviews.
Once I got it I found that it lived up to its reviews: it is VERY lightweight, small enough for me to take every day to work without feeling awkward because it's too big and bulky, yet big enough to carry everything I need for the day, be it a day at the office or a day hiking over the hills. It's also big enough to hold most of my shopping if I go to the market on the way home from work, and strong enough to hold up without a problem when it's as full as I can pack it with very heavy groceries. And the shoulder straps are padded enough that its comfortable to carry on my back, no matter how much I've stuffed into it.
Unfortunately, the reviews that complained about the annoying flap of cloth that covers the zipper of the top pocket and keeps getting stuck in it were also right on target. If I didn't remember to lift the flap...

I purchased the LARGE! 30L! Outlander Packable Handy Lightweight Travel Backpack Daypack+Lifetime Warranty with one purpose in mind.
As an added safety feature on day trips while on vacation, I wanted to eliminate the need for my wife to carry her purse and to be able to also take some added items she normally doesn't have room for with us. I will primarily be carrying this pack, so I feel like it will be perfect for this purpose. I normally wind up holding her purse for her anyway so..........at least now I will get less stares.
Getting to our destination I wanted something small and completely packable that would not eat up suitcase room. Not only is this barely there but it packs into itself so if you wanted to, you could take this out with you on day trips and only use it when you need it, for souvenirs etc.
Second, as a day pack, there is more than enough room and more than enough compartments to take everything you could possibly need and keep it all organised in the process. Lightweight jackets, waterproof folding parkas, umbrellas, cell phones, water bottles, snacks, dry socks, hats. gloves, etc, will all fit in this back pack with...
