Sarah B: I wanted these boots SO bad but had trouble committing because I already have perfectly fine hiking boots. I bought these for hiking in Scotland and they were amazing! Comfortable, waterproof, and pretty sturdy. I took a star away because I did feel like I had to constantly tighten the laces around the ankle

Leigh Olszewski: I am mixed on these due to comfort.
They’re rugged shoes compared to what I like wearing, which is trail runners. But I needed something with decent ankle support for more technical and strenuous terrain.
Pros: I think the traction is fantastic, great in snow and on wet rocks in the mountains. The ankle is supportive enough and cushioned great to not rub or create heel blisters. They’re cute; I bought the baby blue version because I like the color and honestly don’t mind if they get stained over time. It’s gonna happen. And the Waterproofing was adequate for hikes that involved some splashing through shallow creeks.
Cons: Hard insole. Blisters.
I have a narrow foot and look for a slimmer toe box. These are medium width which fits loose for me. In winter this was no big deal cause I layer socks or have thick cushioned socks. But summer… nope. I was in between trail shoes and just wore these with normal socks on a 13mi mountain hike, not super technical, and my foot was sliding around in the toe box. My feet were HOT. There was a lot of friction, & ended with huge blisters on the pads of my toes.
Also in general, I find the inserts very hard and not...

Betsy R: It took a couple of hikes to break in, but now they are very comfortable! While others said they could hike with them out of the box, I wouldn’t recommend. The break in period is necessary for these.

Murphette: These boots are fabulous! I needed some boots for hiking and just wearing out and about (i.e. to breweries!) and these boots fit the bill. I love the color (light with peach) but I do have to watch out for mud. I am sure there is a way to clean them but I just don't know how yet . The size was as expected but the one thing I liked is that as a medium width, they actually are MEDIUM width. To often I find mediums to be too tight. Medium is not WIDE though so don't expect to have medium fit if you require wide width. They are light, comfy-gushy on my feet and waterproof to boot (little pun there)! And, I take this as a compliment - many women have approached me and asked where I got them.

FlowerChild: I purchased these bc they are supposed to be waterproof. Mine are not. Wore them in Colorado in 36 degree weather & I can feel air coming into the toe bed so my toes were cold. Maybe they didn’t waterproof mine all the way idk or not at all bc mine are not. I wire regular athletic socks today, but will try them again with wool socks later. Either way they are one of the most comfy boots I have ever worn. The cushioning is magnificent. I’m disabled & have bad knees, hips, & spine & these were the most comfy shoes I’ve probably had in my life. I say that as an LL Bean, Land’s End, Merrel, Keen, & Columbia long time wearer. I got the baby blue color for around $40 with tax which is a great deal imo. The only big issue is I purchased them for winter walks with my dogs so they won’t work for their intended purposes. My dilemma is whether to keep them for spring boots. The light color means they will get dirty fast so idk. I just know they are crazy comfy & feel wonderful on my feet. I might try them with some fleece socks too & probably just spray them with boot waterproofing. They are like a canvas tennis shoe. The material they are made out of....

Areeba: I've been wanting a pair of hiking boots for a while, and when I saw these go on sale, I snatched them up – best decision EVER! They are very sturdy and comfortable, with enough space to wear either regular socks or thermal/thicker socks during the colder months. Best part is that these are TRULY waterproof! I went on a hike where I had to cross a small stream, and my entire boot was dunked in the water, and my feet were left completely dry! Absolutely love how cute they are for a pair of bulky hiking boots (if you're into the hiking aesthetic), as well as the fact that they get the job done!

Canadian residentCanadian resident: Love Columbia.
I have trouble fitting shoes due to a narrow heal. I previously bought Columbia Ice Maiden winter boots, and with additional insole they are a perfect fit.

So,. I also ordered memory foam insoles from Amazon to go with these trainers and they hug and support my ankles, they’re a perfect fit for my summer walking. Great support, good traction.

I ordered size 9. My feet are approx. 10 inches long, 3 inches across base of heel, 4 inches across ball of foot.

Heather G.: I was looking for a good hiking boot that was not too heavy, had good ankle support and good grip. I found all of that in these! They fit/felt great right out of the box. Took them out for first hike on steep trail with lots of rocks and roots in Jasper today for about 3 hours, but would recommend you break them in first. I felt secure and steady in them. And they supported the area where I broke my toe/bones on top of my foot a year back…it still hurts once in a while but these shoes relieved pressure areas in the arch and top of my feet without aggravating the old injury. The colour is just right, not too loud at all. Great shoes.
