Rosina Philpot: I have wide feet and have had numerous foot and ankle issues over the years. I have tried at least a dozen boots and hikers the past few months available through Prime Try before you buy. I have had no luck, until now. They feel like they were made for my feet. The foot bed is cushiony but supportive. The sole is solid, but flexes when I walk. I'm not one to spend more than $60 to $70 on a pair of shoes, but these are worth every penny.

Jessica LukeyJessica Lukey: I just received my first pair of hiking boots, and I love them. Esthetically they're cool looking, but they are also comfy (thus far). I have yet to hike with hiking shoes, the last time I hiked was 15 years ago with my Chuck Taylor's and I obviously didn't have much success, thus me purchasing. Thus me purchasing my first pair. ND: I wore it for my half dome hike and it wa super sturdy . It protected my toes from rocks and gravel. I have one suggestion though . After a long day of hiking it hurts the toes . It’s not just this shoe but any shoe . A memory foam inside kinda design to protect toes after a long day of hike especially downhill would be a great product design .

Amazon Customer: I love this entire line of Columbia boots - Newton Ridge Plus - I have two pairs in two different colors. They are the MOST comfortable boot! They hold up super well. I have hiked major trails in Kentucky, went through mud, wet fields, stood long hours in my shop on concrete - and my feet always feel so good and solid in them. I ordered wide and they are truly wide boot, but not swimming in them. Cushioning support is awesome - no break in required for these at all! LOVE LOVE

Se supone que te aconsejan hormar (caminar) tus zapatos antes de usarlos para que no te molesten, pero con Columbia me atrevo a decir que te puedes saltar ese paso. Pidan su talla, corren perfecto. Van We: Habe nicht viel erwartet, wurde positiv überrascht. Neben einem North Face Halbschhuh, bei dem sich nach kurzer Zeit die Sohle vorne rechts löste und einem Jack Wolfskin Schuh, der als wasserdicht deklariert wurde, es aber nicht war, habe ich hier relativ günstig diesen Columbia Schuh geschossen. Der Schuh trägt sich sehr angenehm, ist im Verhältnis zu den anderen beiden Wanderschuhen unheimlich leicht und hält meinen Fuß trocken. Außerdem finde ich ihn optisch sehr ansprechend. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Lindsey: I bought them last minute for trekking in Iceland because my old boots burst at the sole so I had no chance to break them in. I wore them for 6 days straight, 14 hours a day and I got very painful blisters on my little toes. After 5 days I developed blisters on the sides of my big toes too which I suspect was from trying to keep my weight off my little toes. Maybe if I'd had a chance to break them in it would have been different? As it was, I couldn't wait to get them off my feet.
My heels and ankles were fine (they usually blister) and there's plenty of padding inside. Good ankle support and they kept my feet dry and warm the whole time.
They do seem like good, well made boots. I just had an unfortunate experience with them.
