Alex: This works just as well as a Chris Christensen (I have 2) and is at least half the price, and easier to use. I feel silly for having bought them now...

joshjosh: We have a long hair cat & have literally bought at least 5 different brushes & this has been the only comb that gets his knots out!

He wasn't a big fan of the comb at first (maybe because of the tugging of getting his knots out) but we started to give him his fave wet treat while being combed. Now he runs over whenever he sees his comb. It's definitely bribery but it's a win-win lol.

We brushed him a couple days before this pic & it always amazes me how much fur comes out each time. There's no going back after this comb!

Samantha Clark: This comb works better than every single brush we've tried on our cats, which all claimed they would remove mats without hurting them but didn't nothing. I was able to pop the mats right off our long haired cat easily and without any effort.

John: I have a little puff ball that clumps up fairly badly when her winter coat is coming in, and again when her summer coat is coming in. She also clumps up randomly between those times if her short hair sister sleeps on her and drools all over her fur too much. This brush is amazing at getting the tight clumps close to her skin even in sensitive areas and either loosening them up so I can cut them off safely or pulling them out completely. She loves being brushed with it too and I've never worried about it cutting her skin or anything like that nor has it ever done that.

Some of the reviews made it sound like these are sharp and dangerous but maybe they got a defective one or maybe they're testing it on their own skin first. People need to realize a cats skin is MUCH tougher than human skin, so raking this across the underside of your arm roughly is going to leave a mark on you, but is not going to be dangerous for your cat as long as you aren't stabbing it into their skin like its some kind of shiv.

I've owned 2 of these now, the first one I bought years ago but misplaced so I bought another (and found the first of course). The quality of both seems to be the same and...

Joy Fischer: My ragdoll cat is very tolerant of this cat comb. Seems to work well at keeping his fur from matting. Happy I bought it.

MISS C M DAVEY: I am a mobile cat groomer, this is the only comb that I recommend.
I would be lost without it.
It's often hard to find in the UK (I have ordered direct from America recently)
If you have a cat that needs undercoat removing/gets knotty then this is the comb for you.

Rae: Does the job well! Wooden handle is easy to hold and the sturdy thinner metal comb does a good job taking off the excess fur. Would recommend!

I have a grey moggy, long haired, very fluffy, looks like a mix of Persian and Ragdoll. She’s 13 so an older cat so can’t always maintain her own fur well. I had to ask a groomer for help because normally it’s a case of going to the vets where they inevitably they end up shaving her because I can’t get all the mats out but since the groomer came and she recommended this comb I’ve been trying to use it on a regular basis and It’s the only thing that makes any difference. My cats still hates being groomed but at least she will tolerate this with the help of treats! The comb is effective enough to take out all the mats so only really have to use it when I see them starting. In the past I have tried those plastic brushes and brush gloves but they are either not effective on longer haired cats or just plain uncomfortable for the cat. This one has been a game changer.

Terri T.: Good comb that gets through my long haired cat. Good with the grooming and gets right underneath my cats coat to get her excess hair out. Doesn't help much with some knots that she has though but a good sturdy comb anyway

Rebecca Shadd: I didn't expect for this to be such good quality, but I'm greatly pleased by it. My cat loves this thing and will sit and purr like crazy while I'm using it. It works wonders. I had another de-shedding brush (also from Amazon) that he not only hated, but that did almost nothing in his coat, which isn't even that long (he's a tabby). This brush works quickly and smoothly. You still have to be careful not to brush too roughly since this is a hard comb, not a soft brush. It's a beautiful product too. The handle might seem a bit small, but any bigger and it would've been harder to maneuver around my cat's body. It collects shedding hair easily and, unlike my last comb, you don't have to stop every 3-5 strokes to pull the cat hair out from between the teeth. Overall, thoroughly pleased - highly recommend!

TurquoiseEyes: I've been owned by two beautiful long-haired cats in twenty years, one a Chinchilla (i.e., the Fancy Feast cat's breed) & the other a purebred Maine Coon. Both cats required extensive combing, so I know my cat combs (I've owned five or six in my lifetime, and I have to say, I think this is overall the best). My first cat had to be combed daily, and had very fine but plentiful fur. He was a former show cat, before I bought him, so he was used to combing. My Maine Coon & current pet, on the other hand, has a silky but dense three-layer coat which sheds heavily in the springtime. She loves brushing, but hates combing. However, it has to be done once a week, or she'll get hairballs, and with my beige non-Stainmaster carpet, that's definitely no fun. Her undercoat alone is off the charts. She is thirty pounds & has more fur on her tail than some kinds of cats have over their whole bodies. Being so big because of the breed she is, possessing twenty sharp claws & a finely-honed set of four fangs expert at delivering a fatal bite to the jugular, my beloved cat is...ahem...a handful. I needed a lightweight but firm comb with good teeth in it. The last comb I had, previously...
