Darrell: I ordered the white rods. They come in two parts, one fits inside the other, with flared ends. You pull the two piece apart in order to make it longer (when completely collapsed they are 48"; when fully extended they are 72").

They are very strong. Made out of metal. I had well over 100 lbs. on them and they held up great. The only issue I had was when I extended them out, the part of the rod which was inside the other rod during shipping had rust spots. Other than this minor cosmetic issue, they are great.

Josh: Does what it's supposed to but the rods that slide together are a bit loose when extended. I would recommend going with either a 1 piece or buying something longer so it doesn't have to extend as much. Does the trick though.

Youssef: I extended it nearly to the maxe and I'm using it to hang my winter jackets. I've been using it for nearly 6 months and it's been holding up very well. However, I couldn't use the middle hook because it's only like 3-4 inch off the wall and that's kind of stupid. I still gave it 4 stars because with it being fully extended and with all the loads that are on it it's still holding up pretty well.

G: Hands down, this is the best closet rod I have ever had. This is beyond easy to install and is very sturdy. I also customize my closets (and have moved a lot!) and this is the best rod I have found to date. There is no guessing on the length or having to hold the rod why screwing anything into the wall. Instead, you just mount the wall pieces with 3 screws and insert the rod. Super easy. Definitely recommend!

Kelvin: Installation: Roughly 10 minutes, a screw-driver, and if want to be precise a measuring tape. Simply screwed 6 sharp ended Phillips head screws, three per end of the metal rod, to hold up the bracket plates. Did not require the use of a drill. The plates are well designed and also metal.

Shipping: Amazon ships in large cardboard package, it's much bigger than the bar. In general, there's extra packaging waste with Amazon deliveries, but it always arrives without any damage. I suppose that's the price is slightly higher than in store options for this reason.

Summary: I have bought similar types of rods in the past. This type of design is very easy to install and very strong. The bracket design seems like it will be strong enough to hold all the clothes I'll put on there. I'll revise this review if there's any problems down the road.

Update: After 18 months, the rod and mount are in perfect shape. I've absolutely filled up all the space and it can hold all the weight. I think it should last a lifetime.
