Nicholas N, Barros: couldn't find this locally so bought online and am not disappointed, apparently this style is hard to find these days and most companies have switched to a double track system. however this was reasonably priced and came fast and was easy to install. the pictures are exactly when I received.

A Computer User: Replaced an old (at least 15 years old) seal. Took the bottom rail off and had a heck of a time getting the old seal off. It wouldn’t move on the track at all. Flooded the track with lithium grease and cut the old seal along the bottom so I could rip off half and then the other half came out easily.

Rinsed off the track afterwards to get all the dirt off, then applied the grease back on the track and slowly slid the new seal on. About halfway through, had to feed from the loose side a little and then pull from the other side to get it on the track without jumping out. I’m thinking stapling the two top ends together probably would have sped it up but not sure.

Anyway, after the seal was in (with one inch extended out each end), I mounted the rail back to the bottom of the door.

Grammyof9: I have two 9 foot garage doors with single track. I decided to buy the 18 foot piece and cut to correct size. Saved a little money doing so. There was about 4 inches extra left over. I cleaned the track and used wd 40 to lubricate to make it easier to slide the seal in the track. I took the recommendation of taking the track off the door and reinstalling after placing the seal in the track. Had to adjust my openers bottom sensor to stop the door at a different level. The door seals very nicely. Very happy with the product. Couldn’t find a single track seal locally.

Billgon: This product is only for the single older style Clopay garage doors. Check your track before ordering!
Arrived faster than expected and well packaged. There are no instructions but it’s pretty straight forward install.
Material seems a little thinner than the old one I took out. The rubber seal is very pliable amd looks of good quality.
In my install the hardest part was trying to get the old seal out of the track. My old seal was 24 years old and it was hard and stuck on that track. I had to remove the aluminum track and clean it up a bit, than I sprayed silicone on the track and installed the seal.
It’s fairly easy on an 8 foot door. Getting the track off in my case was also easy as it’s held up by a few self tapping screws. Suggest you use new ones if yours are rusty and perhaps get the next size up screw. You may also have a screw at the end of the track on the bottom to keep the seal from moving. Mine had it and I had to use a screw extractor as the head was very rusty.
I have two doors a single and a double. The process is the same for the double door, but, it goes faster if you have help as one person pulls on the seal and the other guides it...
