Kel: Installation was pretty easy. Been taking showers for a year and still sturdy. Only thing is the shower head and sometimes it slides right or left. Not too bad, I move the shower head often. Hey, if it makes your clawfoot into a shower... this is a good inexpensive way to do it. Search for the part number on the "Tube" and you'll see me putting it together.

Anne Henschel: The actual new faucet was not the right style for the claw foot tub (old fashion) Just used the original faucet, had to purchase extra parts.

Amazon Customer: I did not have a shower in my claw tub. Love that this unit includes the faucet; shower rod attachment, plus the shower head all in one package. Good quality. It was easy enough to install with two people. Only cavet is that the inside rods could be a few inches wider as they do not expand, but still work for me. Good value for the money.

MarlenaMarlena: Really nice. Faucet doesn't pour out as a whole but more hollow in the center of the spout and water flows out on the edges inside ..if that makes sence! I rather a faster pour but looks great seems sturdy so I'd say a good buy for the money! ..you will want to order more shower curtan hooks tho. It only came with enough for one curtan.

Sue.: Its a flimsy metal, very thin so it would easily snap if bent. The support bracket wont stop it from bending to either of the two sides unsupported only the direction in which its facing, which is disappointing. The installation is tricky, with only one person it could be impossible depending on if you get lucky holding it all together properly until you get the screws in to hold it. The size is good enough for my 5 ft tub. The shower works fine, and the bath faucet is actually pretty nice. There is a nice buffer on the on/off knobs so you dont have to tighten it too much for the water to stop, so it will add to the longevity of the knobs. The look is nice, it looks like quality aluminum, but again this is very thin metal. Im pleased overall, it wont last more than a few years but until then Id say it was worth the price.

Brian W. Bawol: I installed this over a clawfoot tub and it works great. Some of the piece have a cheap feel to them but it has held up great and served my needs perfectly. For the price this gets five start, the only reason I am giving it four stars is due to the lack of instructions and somewhat cheap material. If you are somebody that is not looking to have a curtain ring for a designer spaces magazine then you can't go wrong with this one.

On a side note I inadvertently ordered a version that is supposed to mount the vertical pipe against a wall however mine is freestanding and with a couple small drilled holes I was able to mount the vertical pipe to the D ring with all of the parts provided. The correct version of this product has a clamp that is build in to the D ring.

C82071: I did not install the faucet (the existing tub already had one that was exactly the same), but the rest of it went up easily. The instructions were utterly useless, but after a half hour of laying all the parts out in front of the tub, I figured out the exact layout and it went up easily with just a cordless drill and adjustable wrench (I did also need a handheld mini hacksaw to cut down the ceiling support rod). My tub was in a corner, one long side and the rear end against a wall, the faucet end and other side open with no wall, and this worked great, would have worked the opposite way too, as long as you have a wall on one side and one end of the tub you'll be fine. My tub was roughly 57-58 inches long if I remember correctly, so if you have a long tub like that, don't order a shorter one, you need the 54". There is a certain order you need to put the pieces together in, make sure you think about that before installing, or else you'll be taking sections apart to install a ring that connects to another section, etc. Just lay it all out in front of the tub first. I can't comment too much on the quality or appearance or longevity, its very lightweight but seems sturdy and looks...

Vanden: Yep, I give it 5 stars! Why? Because it is cheap, and it works! I installed the entire thing in about 45 minutes. I will admit to having some advanced mechanical experience, but the install went cleanly, and it does what it is supposed to do. Most reviews griped about the cheap build quality, and I won't argue against them, but for the cost, this is what I expected. Yes, the curtain rods are thin gauge aluminum, they are not made to hold anything but a curtain. Yes the supporting rod is 1/4" steel with rolled threads, but I did manage to thread mine again after changing my install. The alternative to these is hundreds more, and although it may be worth it for longevity or prettiness, this one does what it is supposed to do, just be careful.
Only modification I did was to remove the flow restrictor at the shower head.
