A beautifully written & illustrated book that is as relevant today as it was when it was first penned.
We exist in a society that is driven by ideals of perfection: in ourselves, our outward appearances, our lives, in everything we do. This unrealness blazened across social media for the world to see.
We have unreal expectations of ourselves & life in general & with mental health issues at their highest, this book is very apt.
Realness. It matters not how you look, what matters is loving & being loved unconditionally, without the filters.
Such a sweet book that is perfect for adult & child alike.

I purchased this book for a female friend for her 85th birthday, to honor her “real-ness” and our friendship.
The book has a beautiful jacket and the pages are good quality.
I was able to find a blue velveteen pillow, with an excerpt from the book printed on one side, and the same illustration as the book printed on the other, which was a perfect complement to the book.
The recipient was very pleased with both the book and the pillow.
