Dan Gardner: When we stripped and repainted our house 3 years ago I put up 4 of these lights while we had the rental lift. They worked fine for the first year but then we found one completely failed and had water in the lens. It was on north side of the house. Last month the one on the driveway side started to act like a strobe light so we replaced it. I found water in the lens on that one. So before installing this new light I checked the 4 screws holding the lens on, all were finger tight, I tightened them all. We shall see if that was the initial issue and if this new light last longer but you cannot beat the brightness of these and they are so much cheaper to run than the old flood lights.

Jerry Kelly Jr.: I replaced two 500W halogen floodlights with 2 of these LED models. My lights are located under the eave of my second story home. Installation was straightforward if you've ever done this yourself. Bear in mind, no mounting plate is included. You will need some type of metal round or rectangular mounting plate that has a 1/2" NPT threaded hole. No wire nuts included either and instructions are pretty much non existent. This is like an OEM version the way I see it but that's what I expected. My rating is as follows:
For:
1. Lights are very bright and light up my back yard as well as the 500W halogen lamps did.
2. Unit is built well. Housing is metal and somewhat heavy.
Against:
1. Description says that there are 84 LED elements. Actually there are only 55. I contacted the seller and after they contacted the factory it was determined that they are using more efficient LED's now and that the lumen output has not decreased. I was offered a refund if I wanted but decided to keep them since they are bright enough.
2. I'm not sure if they are meant to be inverted for mounting but that's what I did. There is some sort of round cap on the bottom side (now my top...
