Comments

Dn: Not concave. Looks at traffic far back (good for suburban roads). I can hear close traffic so don't need concave. Chrome looks great on old chrome handlebars. I had to bend a little straighter (In vice clamped on the two bolts, pulled hard) so i could see past my arm... Perfect now.

BrianBrian: Great mirror, and YES it can go on either side. The picture is misleading as it shows right hand mount- left just turn mirror around. Once adjusted and you get use to a 2” view of what is behind you it is quite functional. Great value and finish is nice. Note however the mounting clamp to handle bars, no matter how tight, will always have a little movement- the mirror slides a bit here and there in the bars but nothing serious. For the money it looks great and is easy to install and provides a world is comfort in knowing what is behind you!

Amazon Customer: Finally, a working mirror.
I have an electric bike with custom grips, little space for mounting, etc. I still managed to make this work (I've struggled to find a mirror that works with my setup).

Functions pretty well.

Ryan Armishaw: When the product arrived, it appeared identical to the image. It is well built, with solid materials. Unfortunately, the clip didn't fit around my bars...maybe mine are oversized, or have extra tape on them? (Not sure why). Normally, I would have given 4 stars for this, but the extra star comes from the superior customer service provided by USAsuperstore. They were quick to offer suggestions, and when none of the suggestions satisfied me, USAsuperstore processed a full refund without any hassle. So, while the mirror didn't work out for me, I would recommend buying from them.

Barry Dennis: Chrome plating on arm & mirror head was good with no flaws. Mirror face was nice as well with no flaws. Bracket was not as nice looking therefor only giving it 4 stars.

Ralph Everingham: I like this bicycle mirror as it is a lot bigger so you can see more of what is behind you which is a must if you want to stay safe.

Andy: I bought one of those a couple years ago for my trike, and ordered this one for my "classic" beach cruiser.
Pros:
*It matches the classic look, and actually works... with some limitations, see below.
*The mirror itself holds up very well; so far no "blind spots" or water damage.
*There are enough "swivel spots" to adjust this mirror to almost any need, even if the mirror is not mounted at the end of the handlebar.
Cons:
*The chrome might start to show rust spots after a time (depending on the condition where one lives and stores the bike). No complain... I live in South Florida!
*Mounting it firmly on the handlebar requires some tweaks as the clamp is a little flimsy. I am using a rubber shim; and a 1/2" long nylon spacer in the "jaw" of the clamp.
*The mirror is too small to see accurately what's behind. That's the downside of the plain "classic" look. This was a safety concern, so I got a 3" self-adhesive "blind spot" mirror (convex, the fixed type, not the adjustable type) from an auto parts store and pasted it over this mirror. It fitted perfectly (even purists won't mind a difference in looks); and works like a charm.

All...

Jimmie Roan: I picked up this mirror to replace my old side mirror. The old one was plastic and finally broke from being moved out of the way for storing or transporting the bike, so I wanted a metal one that would be sturdier. Can't speak to the sturdiness yet, but there are a few issues:
1. It's small. 3" is much smaller than my old mirror and I sometimes don't see approaching traffic.
2. Mounting requires some additional hardware and some ingenuity. I mounted it on a handlebar end on my hybrid with only the enclose hardware. It would not stay in place, as the fit was just too loose. I added some gorilla tape around the handlebar end, put some spacers on the inside of the bracket, and added lock nuts. Now the mirror stays in place.

The mirror is adequate and the additional hardware to mount it wasn't a big deal, but I'll go with a different mirror next time.

J. Clark: I got two of them, and though i labeled it 5 stars, i do have some beef with them.

The mounting didn't really fit my handlebars terribly well, though it does hold tight. When going over bumps, the mirrors would tilt one way or another, and i had to constantly adjust them because of this.

So i got some 1/4 inch washers, and some lock washers too. The washers i was initially going to use between the mount part the bar slips through to add some spacing and provide more pressure for the nuts and lock washers i put on the outside, but the diameter of the ones on the inside were too big and didn't allow me to accomplish the task i set out to do. Next pay check.

As for now though, i did add the lock washers with the nuts, and it seems to be holding it tight. The real test will come later when i set out for a bike ride.

All in all, they're mirrors, and help out alot in my commute. With some modification, they can be great mirrors, and thus the 5. My bike is my pet project so, it gives me something to overcome and accomplish.
