Chris Christensen Oval Pin Hair Brush for Detangling and Smoothing

Larry C.: The brush does what it is supposed to do. I have not lost any pins yet. The price is probably a bit high...but sometimes the quality makes it worth it.....will see. I use it on a long haired Coton de Tulear. I still need the Grey hound comb a dematting tool and a rake as well.

Amazon Customer: I use this on my 1.5yr old Samoyed and it is effective! It can reach his undercoat and works on tough tangles without pulling or hurting him. He seems to almost enjoy it when I brush him using this! It feels sturdy and it is easy enough to clean out as well, which is important since it fills up so fast (Samoyed struggles). Definitely worth it in my opinion!

SJ: Too expensive but a good brush for our oodle dog. It has helped to lift knots. It was suggested by a groomer so we bought it but almost £30 for a hairbrush is way too much!
It’ll last years and it is too but it’s too expensive so balance out if it’s worth the price. I’m sure there are others around but we were desperate when we bought this.

Walker: First off let me just say I LOVE this brush. I have a collie beagle mix that has long fur, a heavy undercoat, and it's a semi-nappy rough texture. Tough coat to brush. My girl tolerates brushing. Not the best of experiences for either of us. Not any more. She closes her eyes and zones right the f out. Loves it now. This brush is awesome. Why does it work so much better than all the other brushes I've tried? I dunno. Not my department. Just know it works and my dog loves the feeling.

So... the title? Brush arrives and it's missing a pin. Was pretty ticked. Brand new brush, still in the box, hole where a pin should be. Ordered another one with an unpleasant note along the lines of "how could you send a new brush missing pins"? Well when the replacement arrived missing a pin, in the same spot, I went and zoomed in on the item picture. The display pic is missing a pin, in the same spot. So long story short it isn't missing a pin. That's the design. Turns out I am, in fact, an idiot. Sometimes. Happens.

So thought I owed it to them to leave a review. And maybe help someone else to prevent needlessly returning or replacing a brush. Really do love the brush through. I...

Justin B: I would rather rate this as a 4.5/5 because I don't think there is actually anything wrong with the product at all. If you are like me, however, you expect something above and beyond from this brand and I have always had that experience with other Chris Christensen grooming products-- they are expensive but well worth the price. In this case it is a very solid brush, but it just doesn't have that extra something special I associate with the increase of cost for the brand name.

MJMS: I read so many review on this brush before buying and I thought to myself can this really be a game changer for dog brushing? No word of a lie, IT IS!!! It is the BEST brush I have ever used for my 9 lb. Maltese. The brush glides through the hair smoothly. I used to use a comb and he would fight me, especially around his paws. Now he just stands there, I can brush his paws without any fuss and he actually seems to like it. I started out by brushing first then running a comb through. The comb isn’t even necessary because the pins on the bristles goes right to the skin. The pins have a rounded edge so it’s actually soothing on the dog’s skin. I never thought I would spend that much on a brush for my dog but I have NO regrets. If you can only have one brush, this would be it.
