Wendy N: I bought this for my cat and really like the rubber tipped ends which doesn’t seem to scratch her skin. I also like the button that you press to extend the bristles and then press again to retract them. When you do this, the fur can be easily thrown away. When I first used it, as I was walking to my trash can, I pressed the button to retract the bristles and the fur started to float away. It is that easy to clean. I should have bought this years ago. I highly recommend it.

Randi: Thins the undercoat of my beautiful Lakeland Terrier. This is necessary to get the Lakeland cut which is hard to find in Iowa. My girl loves being brushed & the excess fur slides off the brush when I retract the bristles. Surfinurchin: I have 2 cats one simple short hair and other a Norwegian forest cat (fluffy). When you use this brush, it helps reduce furball ingestion in your cat, which can be dangerous especially for your fluffy breeds. Just brush in small strokes for gentle use, then smooth with your free hand to sooth. To clean get a toothpick, move it gently along the base and lift up to remove the fur. This technique will prolong the life use of the brush, ripping upwards with your hands can damage the brush prongs and base. This is also how you properly clean your hair brushes, yet with a very thin wooden dowel, instead of a toothpick, like a chop stick.

Izzy: I absolutely love this. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I originally bought it for my Maine Coone cat (who is a very large cat), however the brush itself was too large, with the brush parts being too wide apart, I've opted to use it for my dog instead.

It says in the title that it can be used for small animals, however I do not recommend it for smaller animals, and you should buy it for large/ medium ones instead. If you have a cat with thicker hair rather than fine, you may find it of use, but I still recommend you find a brush that is not as wide, and is a bit smaller.

AntS: I’m using this brush on two, year old British short hair cats. The brush gets their seal of approval as they will park themselves in front of it and offer them selves up for a grooming session.

Likes:
-Gets into the undercoat which is where our cats shed the most and gets all the stray hair.
-The design is sensible as the prongs are retracted until you press the button which protects them from damage and should ensure it lasts longer.
- The fur is also easy to clean off because you can retract the prongs of the brush.
-It’s reasonably wide with a large surface area to get the job done quickly.
-Not too heavy.

Dislikes
-Despite the retracting prongs they look delicate and care needs to be taken when brushing.
-The prongs are not covered in plastic - this doesn’t seem to both my cats but they have a tendency to want to nibble brushes and I don’t want this piercing their gums so have to be on guard at all times and keep it retracted when not in use.
