Scooby snacks: I was looking for the largest cube I could find. These are great. Just remember to push from the bottom after loosening them.

Cheatin Jockey: This is a nicely engineered item and made from quality materials. You just fill the base, pop on the top, push down and pop in the freezer. I found I did need a lilttle 'ice mould acrobatics' to tip away the excess, though I expect you don't have to if you weren't fussed about the top water.

A few hours later and bingo! You have big ice balls!

For me though, they aren't quite big enough. I had a single mould free with a popular brand of bourbon, which was about a centimetre bigger and I sort of expected the same size in this case - I just didn't check from the details given on the amazon page. If I had, I would still probably have got it TBH.

You get some rough edges (certainly nothing like the picture) but these soon melt away. That aside though, the product and results are good, and it's very easy to use. It works best with spirits, I think on balance I'm happier with multiple cubes in tall/longer drinks.

Corey Wade Denslow: The product works very well. The silicon tray makes it easy to twist and turn to get the ice balls out once they are fully frozen. I haven't been able to get a perfect sphere yet, I always get a little ring around the middle, kind of making the ball look like Saturn.
I unfortunately didn't read the dimensions of the sphere the mold makes. I thought it looked bigger in the picture so when I received it I was a little surprised, I was hoping to make bigger ice balls to fill the glass more. That is my fault though, the dimensions of the Chillz Ice Ball Maker Mold is clearly stated, I just didn't read it.
I would suggest this product to a friend because it works well. However in the future if I were to get another Ice ball maker I would like to find one that creates bigger spheres.

David J. Clarke: My REVISED Review as Sept 5 2016

The ice cubs indeed can be good but, there some tricks to it make this so.
First off is simply the law of physics; oxygen always floats to the top. -(Keep this in mind when making your cubes).
IGNORE THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS AND DO IT THIS WAY.
Once I made the 1st batch I examined my yield closely to make the 2nd batch better. I finally nailed it perfectly on my 3rd batch!
-This is 2-step/2 freeze operation. Fill the bottom half of the 4 individual spheres themselves in the tray only fill half-full. DO NOT use or attach the top piece of the mold at this first-step!. Make sure this now bottom-open face of the mold sits perfectly flat and level in your freezer overnight.
-In the morning, place the top piece over the bottom piece open and carefully completely close the mold. Then fill the 4 open small top mold cover with water carefully pouring slowly and liberally into the 4 small open holes on the top piece of the closed mold. DOUBLE CHECK! This is critical for success. These small holes on top of your mold MUST BE filled to the very top to the point of "overfilling." YES, the top piece of the mold will wind up being full of...

Tropicana: I'm still working on to get a perfectly round nice ice balls like the ones shown in photo.
I think I just need to practice more. It's getting closer, but not quite. Sometimes, the ball is missing a top little or having a thin layer of ice.
Once ice is made, it's quite easy to take them out as the molds are flexible. The little piece of the ice attached to the ball was harder to get rid of than taking the ice balls out. I've used them several times, but no tear nor anything.

However, it's great to have this when making tempura! I want to keep the batter cold for a long time, but not wanting to water it down too much. Ice made with this was perfect for this purpose. It turned out to be better than regular ice cubes as it melts slower and the batter stayed more consistent.
Of course, it's great for regular drinking usage. I like rum on the rock, so this is great!

Because my husband and kids are watching dragon ball, I will try to make dragon ball with this! This products can be quite fun!

rong zheng: I bought the black ice cube tray last week. Even it is not 100% perfect, I like it. Because of the cool ice balls it produces and the reasonable price it offers.
Like:
When the first time I saw it, I like the look of it. The shape of the whole tray is square, and it looks fashionable and smart. I chose this ice cube tray because I enjoy the round ice cubes it makes. If you are looking for a special match for colorful wines, such as the cocktail and whisky, I highly recommend this product.
The best part of it is the ice cube size. When I ordered it online, I was actually worried about the size. I didn’t think it can be a suitable match for the glasses I have. So I bought glasses with large rim also. In fact, when I had the real tray, the size of the ice cube is just perfect. The frozen ball is about the same size as the Ping-Pong ball’s. It can be put into all the glasses and cups I have, easily. What’s more, I’m very satisfied with the shipment. It is just on time.
Compared with other ice cube trays with the same round model, I recommend this one because the quantity of it is very suitable. According to my experience, you only need one ice ball for each cup of...

DRMDRM: I really wanted crystal clear ice spheres with as little haze as possible. After a number of experiments I have come to this routine:

- Boil distilled water for at least 5 minutes.
- Put a lid on the boiling water and let sit still for about 20 minutes with the heat off.
- Gently slide the bottom mold into the water; tipping it in and rolling it flat.
- Gently remove the bottom mold and place the top mold pushing down until the rim around the sides touches the bottom mold rim. Water should come out the top holes.
- Place in freezer gently so air bubbles don't get into spheres.
- Let freeze for about two hours until there is a thick crust of frozen water, but the inside is still liquid.
- Pierce the outside of the ice ball with an injector (see below) to gain access to the liquid; make the hole large enough for air to get in.
- Pour or suction out the liquid water with the injector.
- Use the injector to draw in some of the excess boiled distilled water and Inject it into the same hole in the ice sphere made for the water removal.
- Return to freezer for 4 or 5 hours.

It takes a long time and is somewhat intensive, but one or two out of each...
