CATEYE BM-45 Bar End Bicycle Rearview Mirror

DCM: Es el cuarto que compro, y ya no puedo salir sin llevar uno. Incluso en bicicletas de btt. La sensación de seguridad es enorme. Te permite ver todo lo que pasa detrás y anticipar movimientos. También sirve para ver si vienen otras bicicletas y adaptar el pedaleo. En cuanto a calidad es notable, bien acabado con un buen reflejo y se adapta perfecto a cualquier manillar, tampoco se mueve una vez en posición. El tamaño es tirando a pequeño, por lo que no resulta aparatoso en la bici de carretera ni molesta en exceso en la btt. Lo que aporta en seguridad compensa sobradamente la pérdida estética o de rendimiento.
Como ventaja extra en la bici de carretera, bien colocado permite ver la imagen desde la parte superior del manillar, tanto en la zona centrar como agarrado a las manetas, así como en la posición más baja, en la zona curva, donde puedes lanzar el sprint viendo los galgos venir por detrás.

Terry Reed: At 65 it is difficult for me to turn around on the bike and look over my sholuder, so a mirror is a big help. The Cateye mirror is made of glass so the image is very clear. Also I like that it fits at the end of my drop handlebars and is kind of small. I realize a mirror on a bike isn't sexy, but it really improves safety when riding near cars.

JS: Haben bereits das dritte Fahrrad damit ausgestattet.
Ganz klein und unauffällig, aber trotzdem gute Sicht nach hinten.
Sehr robust, auch wenn das Rad mal umfällt oder aneckt.

Perfetti !!!: Ottimo prodotto, discreto e neppure troppo pesante.
Lo uso da circa 2 anni sulla BDC.
Ottimi materiali e sorprendente visibilità posteriore.

Non potrei farne più a meno.

Lo renderei obbligatorio ....

RG: Effective rear view bike mirror that is easy to install and is relatively discreet for a mirror attachment. This is a nice accompaniment to a bike radar. One thing to note, you'll need to set the mirror for your most frequent riding position. If you switch positions, it isn't going to work (if you don't adjust the mirror) since it is quite small. You'll probably want to leave it in one position and not mess with it after that.

Quantum 8Quantum 8: The mirror itself is well made and works as expected. However installation was more time consuming than expected because the inner diameter of my handlebars was smaller than the range specified in the instructions. I ended up having to drill out the left end of inside diameter of my handlebar with a 5/8" drill and file some material from the outer diameter of the mirror mounting shaft. The instructions states an handlebar inner diameter range between 16mm and 25.4 mm. I really wish AMAZON or the mfgr. would have included this info in the product details. It would save customers some grief and possibly consider ordering a different product if they don't have access to power drill and files! Hope this helps!

C.M.H.C.M.H.: Great little mirror for commuting. My work commute consists of a ride through neighborhoods and the city, as well as getting on an express bus and then riding the rest of the way to the office. Great mirror to see upcoming vehicles as well as fellow cyclists without having to always crane my neck over my shoulder to see behind me. Small enough so you’re not advertising your cycling nerdiness, but works well enough for making your ride a little safer. Attaches easy and is pretty solid when installed with the mirror being pretty stiff so that it takes a bit of force to move or adjust it - basically, it stays put. Keep in mind that on straight bars like mine, you are extending your width by adding this to the end of your bar and is subject to being clipped or damaged by another bike when you have yours on a side-by-side bicycle carrier like on the front of a bus or splitting traffic downtown. Other cyclists loading or unloading their bikes and knocking your side mirror out of whack or even popping the mirror portion off can happen so be aware of this. Takes a few minutes of riding to get used to looking at the end of your bar to see behind you, but it works....

RangerDogRangerDog: As a mature rider who values my health, safety is important while riding. I also love the beautiful look of my high-end carbon frame road bike. I have Garmin's Varia radar which is itself an awesome product. It tells you how many cars are approaching, how fast, etc. (FYI, I have the RVR315 and you'll find many glowing reviews of this online.) Because of arthritis in my neck turning my head sharply to look back is not an easy (or sometimes even possible) option.

The Cateye mirror just adds the missing piece to this puzzle. It's small enough to be subtle and not mess up the clean lines of my sleek looking bike. Yet it's just large enough to get a pretty good view of the cars that are close so you know which lane they are in and how big they are. (The radar doesn't differentiate motorcycles from 18-wheelers.) The radar does let me know there's something there, how many (it stops counting at 8), and how fast. It basically tells me to look in the mirror if more info is required.

Some reviews say the mirror is convex and others say flat. (Maybe they make them both ways? It would be nice to choose if they do!) Mine is a little convex so I get a good view...
