Kiley K. Bennett: I've seen videos of these brushes pulling out tons of loose fur and this particular one really doesn't, it'll get some but it's not a furminator or deshed brush.

However, my senior cat loves it. I think it's really gentle for her 15 year old bones, she'll put up a storm while getting brushes. It was worth it for that.

A. Duda: I was looking for something that could be used as a shedding comb for my 2 kitties. I wanted something that would be gentle for them. This is absolutely perfect, and I'm very glad that I bought it. They both accepted it very easily and quickly.

The "tines" of the comb are very flexible and glide over the different angles of the cats' bodies. But it still does a great job picking up fur.

I wish the design weren't so silly, but it is comfortable for me to hold, too.

Martha Gish: My Himalayan doesn't mind getting brushed...except for her belly and her tail. I got this just to try...and she loves it! And so do I...Usually after her brushing, it isn't 5 minutes until her hair looks all messy again. but for some reason, when I use this, it stays smooth for a long time. she actually comes to me and gets on my lap so I can brush her....and she is not a lap cat by any means! It was a great purchase!

The commercial for this comb stated facts of how it won't hurt your cat when you brush them, which is true, plus your cat will enjoy getting brush as well as the comb being easy to hold. Which is all true. I feel the downfall of this comb is that it doesn't hold the hair so easily in the bristles when I brush my cats. I displayed a video of a demonstration of what the brush looks like when being used. My cats have 2 different types of short hair. The one I shown has really short hair, the other one not recorded has little more fluff but the comb does not catch all the hairs. I feel it also doesn't catch all lose hair that is needed to get brushed off and I end up using the alternative brushes my cats don't like due to less comfort. But the other brushes do their job to get all lose hairs out of their fur coat from getting anymore fur balls.

Krysten Reynolds: We have a DMH who has very fine hair and she gets mats on a regular basis. She’s not the easiest cat to restrain to remove them and I wanted to refrain from using scissors. I’ve used this comb twice so far and it’s worked great!

This isn’t a deshedding tool or a comb for regular brushing needs. In the description it says regular brushing will help with shedding, and that’s true, but this isn’t the type of comb for that. I would describe this as a complain tool for at home grooming. If you’re looking want an easy way to remove mats, I recommend this comb!
