FloridAmazon: I purchased these right before a backpacking trip to Colorado and I couldn't be happier. They performed flawlessly in some pretty tough terrain, with lots of rocky areas. They're super light, but more than strong enough to support me and my backpack. The quick adjust toggles worked great. They performed as well as my friend's poles, which cost three times as much. Well worth it.

Amazon Customer: I got this for someone who was recovering from a knee injury, and they have been such a game changer for his ability to do hikes! It takes the pressure off your knees, helps distribute the weight, and provides added stability. They are incredibly strong and lightweight, and they are compact when condensed. Love them!

Keegan Pelton: These are super light. I’m 135 pounds with about a 12 pound base weight and didn’t have any issues with these on the Colorado Trail this summer, even when accidentally yanking sideways on them when they got stuck in between rocks. The foam grip isn’t as comfortable as cork and left a black residue on my hands after 8+ hours of hiking, but it washed off easily and they were adequately comfortable. For the price you can’t really beat these as a UL trekking pole.

JrBenito: I will start with complain: the wedge used to keep the handle loops in the desired length are just crap. They do not hold properly and the loops loosen easily during the hike. You can, of course, use something to make them tighter, but I would expect this work out of the box.
that is the only downside. I had two pairs of these for over 2 years, both do the job, are comfortable to me and my wife and doubles as tent poles for our X-Mid tent. One of mine broke on last trip, not a fault of the pole but mine. I let it sink between two rocks and lost my balance while pulling it against the rock. It was bent in the leaver action and eventually snapped. I can say it served its purpose by giving me some mechanical advantage and preventing me from falling and rolling but it payed the price by snapping one segment. It still usable although do not extend fully, so I bought another one.

Michael Kondziolka: Broke one of my last poles and ordered another pair. Thought the colour was yellow, but came as blue. Still a great product and the best deal out there for lightweight trekking poles. Last pole broke due to user error (not by me). Break was a clean snap along the shaft and not near the plastic clasps. I hiked 1000+ km with the last pair and used to set up my tent every night. Confident there was a lot of life left in them before the one broke.

riceguy: For the price, these were the best carbon poles by far. Lightest by far in the sub $100 range. Cascade is a know brand. They sell a three section pair with cork grips at costco and on here, but the weight, although maybe just around 100g lighter each pole, is noticeably lighter. When extended to 48-52” there is a slight vibration feel/hollow sound when touched to ground but im guessing its not uncommon with light carbon poles. Im happy to accept the minimal vibration as i feel only a single piece pole would be totally vibration free
These are only about 3 inches longer when collapsed compared to the other three section poles mentioned (which had a similar feel/vibration). When closed, because they are tapered at the end, they move in and out freely an inch or so (the clamp is set at the extended fatter pole diameter so the bottom part is loose at the tapered part when collapsed).
Im 5’11” 180lbs and feel these are strong enough to assist with hiking balance. Havent used them yet but wanted a light as possible pair. Compared to most $200-300 name brand sets, these are still lightest or as light. I prefer two sections anyway as they have less parts to break and wont...

Hiker ArtHiker Art: I bought a pair of the 3K carbon CM and Aluminum CM Trekking poles as support for a tent. I normally use hiking sticks I made from a tree that grew in a cluster of branches out the ground and have a natural curve that's a natural shock absorber, they are the same weight as the Aluminum CM poles, but didn't work with the tent.
The straps on the poles come so the wide part only fits one hand, when your hand is inserted up from the bottom so that the wide part of the strap supports the edge of palm of your hand. On the other one it will be the narrow part supporting the palm. Not good in two ways lack of support and now the wide part is under your thumb, it's cumbersome. What to do?
I got to looking them over and you see the metal pin at the top of the handle there's your solution. I positioned the pole on a bench and took a small old drill bit the size the pin, and drifted it out, using a hammer, light taps leaving room for pin to comes out other side, but not all the way out.
Now that the pin is out you can remove the strap and wedge. I loosened the other strap to see how it was put together. Then I did a dry run to figure out how to put It back together, so the wide part...

Da Ewok: I took these out today with my son for a 2.5 mile hike through some mixed terrain after rainfall.
That proved their worth. They we absolutely indispensable when it came to slippery rocks... It made hiking a breeze.
