Dave: Use this in my aircraft for CO2 detection. Mounts good on the panel. Easily seen warning light. I put it under a jar with a wood match blown out and it sounded an alarm.
Now I hope it never goes off when I’m flying

Skypix: i have an old Volvo that was probably smoked in by the previous owner. I bombed it with a car deodorizer which helped. But I was feeling headachy/dizzy when I drove it. Was concerned carbon monoxide was the culprit. This amazing, very sensitive little device after several long driving tests told me there is no CO inside my car at all. So the culprit is probably something in the smoke smell or the stuff I bought to neutralize it, which more just masked the smell and left the car smelling like a British flower shop.

D: In short, yes it seems to work as described. 3 days use so far. It will show 0-ppm if less than 9-ppm, or 9ppm (lowest CO reading). 9-ppm I'm starting to not feel well, so slight I'm not aware of it. I think I'm hungry, slight bit tired, my head will start to hurt. I'll look down at the sensor and it's been flashing 9-ppm. I can't smell the exhaust but feeling it. By the time it reaches 11-ppm I can smell some vehicle exhaust inside. When I see it flashing I take fresh air and 5 minutes later it will stop flashing. I wish there was an audible alarm at 9ppm. And it's usually 9-ppm driving behind other vehicles or 9-ppm If a vehicle parks next to me with side exhaust pipe blowing exhaust against my van windows closed ac recirculating. I never knew that CO was affecting me, but clearing out that 9-ppm makes a noticeable difference in my alertness. IS IT REALLY just 9-PPM???? I DON'T KNOW??? I do know that when it shows that, I do better with clean air. ** 9-ppm was also regular driving in traffic driving behind other vehicles, so at least I can compare what 9-ppm CO reading was in other situations. Mr D Barrington.: Like other posters I use this detector in a light aircraft and it's proved very sensitive. Showing levels of CO that other detectors do not portray. That said, whilst the red warning light works at 25ppm there is next to no audible warning. The level is so low that it would not be heard in an average car, let alone the noise levels in a light aircraft. If you are happy to mount the unit in line of sight and monitor it constantly then it's a good product, but do not rely on hearing it.

It's also a little heavy on batteries (there are two by the way) so try to have a couple of spare 2032's to hand if relying on it.

All in all, a good product but to me grossly overpriced considering it's only useable for three years.

David Morgan: I bought this for use in my aircraft and to replace the domestic style detector. I must say I am very impressed with its sensitivity. It takes a couple of minutes to work after switching on so I usually switch it on as I am about to carry out the external pre-flight check. The max reading feature is useful and I am keeping a record of these readings to identify any unwelcome trends. It is a very compact unit and is well made. The downsides are:
(1) it is difficult to remove from the holder and I think it could be impossible when the holder is mounted in the aircraft (currently it just rests on a vacant seat in the aircraft but that is not ideal) - that is why I have not given it a five star rating;
(2) my unit has a stated 'life' until the end of 2022 when it should be replaced. That is rather short and makes the unit relatively expensive but, having said that, it could be a life saver!
In conclusion it is the best CO detector for aircraft that I have come across. I would certainly recommend it.

karen kingkaren king: This alarm definitely works, when I first start my New Swift with the door open it really spikes, until the car warms up. I keep the doors and windows closed while starting now, and open them after moving off so any trapped can escape.
It has gone off in Hotels(could also smell gas). The reading and alarm sound is clear. It is SO fast to react that as soon as a window opens the level lowers. It shows the max reading since on, and provides clear evidence.
Only downside is the lack of extra mounts/spare sticky tape.
It is fairy tough. It has been dropped twice onto hard ground, and it still seems to read correctly when appropriate, dropping immediately when a window is open.
Buy this, it is a must for any car or hotel. E. T. C. It could save your life. Hire cars and boats especially.

Randy ForgaardRandy Forgaard: I received this product today. It is wonderfully small, just 1.75" x 2.5" x 5/8". I am intrigued by its size and high-quality construction, and after reading the positive reviews here on Amazon, I think this little unit will probably work great for detecting CO in my car. It is very easy to use, with only one button and a nice feature set for detecting CO in a vehicle, and works right away out of the box. No muss or fuss.

NOTE: This product is not designed for use in a home. Home units have higher CO thresholds (to avoid too many alarms) and much louder alarms so they can be heard at a distance. This detector is specifically designed for use in a small space like a vehicle.

The detector I received came in a very small box measuring just 2.25" x 3.25" x 1", and included a very tiny one-sided sheet of instructions measuring 4" x 5.5" (attached to this review). I saw a YouTube review of this product (https://youtu.be/ffGV4ORnq8U) from Dec. 2017 that shows the exact same product in a much larger box than I received, with multiple, full-size pages of instructions, but I like the small box (save trees!) and the tiny instruction sheet I received seems to cover the required...
