Michelle: Quite shocked to discover when wrapping the book for my 8yr old's birthday that CU and the Tyrannical Retaliation of the Turbo Toilet 2000 is NOT FULL COLOR!
I thought we must have been duped...I have tried to find any mention online of this 'error' in the publishers judgment, and honestly to not mention it in the item description is misleading.
We began collecting the Hardcover versions of the books because of the full colour illustrations.
It's disappointing, hopefully the content will make up for this unfortunate surprise & our laughter & love for CU will be intact. I gave 3 stars out of loyalty to our waistband hero.

Happy Canuck ✅: Captain underpants and the dog man series by Dav Pilkey have done what seemed pretty impossible despite my prior attempts - they have got both our kids reading in preference to pestering for screen time on laptops/tablets etc.
They're pretty simple to read, and entertaining if you're 7-8 years old! Being comic style books they're best read by yourself - they don't lend themselves to me reading them as a bedtime story as they're very visual books. The kids absolutely love them though, and we now have all the Dog Man books, and most of the Captain Underpants series.
Highly recommended silly books for kids - yes they're silly, but as above they've sparked our kids interest in reading over having their minds sucked out by Youtube - which to me, is worth its weight in gold.

Keri: This book was released today and I just spent three hours reading it to my seven year old son. We actually re-read the entire series, which we own, in anticipation of this sequel, and finished book 10 last night before starting this one tonight.
If you are a fan of Captain Underpants then this book is a sure bet. In fact, I think it may be his best work yet in terms of plot development and amusing moments. My son laughed out loud SO many times and I have to admit I did, too!
There was a possible discrepancy between this book and the previous one. In the previous book, the time travel was stated as 30 years in the future (and the adult George and Harold were 39 3/4 and 40yo respectively) but in this book it was stated repeatedly as being forty years in the future. It did not seem to be a plot development issue, just a mistake. I went back and reread it to try to figure it out but I was left a little confused. If I am incorrect, please comment!
In any case, the book was amazing, and my son never would have noticed the 30years/40years thing on his own! Thanks Dav for another really funny, well put together book that encourages kids to be kids, as obnoxious and as...
