The Capri Tools 20011 Automatic Wire Stripper and Cutter is the best wire cutter available in terms of overall satisfaction, build quality, ease of use and size. Its narrow profile makes it easy to access even the tightest areas, while its stripping blades automatically adjust to different gage sizes. Plus, the fast compound consistent wire stripping action ensures easy removal of wires.Us: I used it to strip some 22 gauge wire and it worked great. once I figured out how to align the wire I am getting perfect equally side wire ends!

Amazon Customer: Vraiment efficace et rapide pour dénué les fils. Ma seule interrogation c’est le plastique cheap dont il est fait. Longévité?

Amazon Customer: I was looking for a wire stripper for small 20 AWG solid core with a super thin sleeve. It was a pain with the traditional plier style tool. I tested something similar to the CP20012 from Amazon basic and it would just always cut the wire or remove the sleeve from the wrong direction. I got this CP20011 and it just works perfectly without any adjustment. Easy, effortless. Note that the strip length adjustment is between 8 and 12 mm (which is too long for any electronic application) so you will need to manually check the length.

barry reid: I really liked this stripper but it is not very sturdy. When it worked I loved using it and wiring was easier to splice or put ends on. I dropped it when I was working on the roof of a forklift truck and it never worked after that so I had to go back to my old one that I kept in my toolbox. I would still recommend it for automotive and home electronics.

Spencer strauss: honestly best wire stripper ive owned.
im a auto tech that specializes in electrical wiring and diag. ive killed more snap on strippers than id like to admit. these have held up the best. daily use for more then 2 years. buying another set to have at home and if * these die i will be buying another. the pistol grip style is much much better than nose end type for under dash work or tight area repairs. 10/10 they nailed this product.

Jose R.: This my friends is a very useful pair of lil strippers. At a cheap price of 13$ you can be cutting and stripping back wiring quick and easy, saving you time and money. These are the exact same pair rebranded as bluepoint AKA snapon at less than a 1/4 of the price. My original bluepoint pair is always misplaced so I decided to order up 2 of these since they looked identical to my bluepoint pair. My original pair still works ok after 5+ years of use. Opening up the packaging and put to work to find out that they are exactly like my original pair. Sure they aren't made of metal and the cutting section could be more like that of a shear, but they do get the job done. Wear and tear over the years will eventually wear down the blade and I haven't found replacements for them. Nice to find these online that are worth every penny. I usually strip back stranded wire 16-10gauge but solid strand doesn't seem to be a problem either. Doing wiring installs of 10-50 leads is a breeze with these strippers and with one hand some times as these have an awesome wire grip.

T. Reich: I purchased these to have one of my guitar techs pilot in a professional environment working on electric guitar circuits; At the attractive price-point, I was hoping it might be able to save some cash compared to equipping techs with higher-end and more-expensive options, but I never risk equipping every employee with a tool that hasn't been given a trial period for evaluation. Function-wise, it worked fine for a little while, and to some extent it still works. However, parts began falling off after a couple months. Not irreparably so, it might jam a bit here and the wire guide would pop out there, and they could be fixed, but I'd rather not have employees spending time repairing their tools.
Do not take this as me denigrating this item. It seems like a solid enough wire-stripper for personal use and I didn't encounter any critical failures, like cracked plastic or anything. If you need wire strippers for a small handful of tasks, to work on a couple guitar pedals in the garage or work on a PC here and there, but you'd use them infrequently enough that the strippers will be chilling in their toolbox unused for 95% of their days, then these probably hit that cross-section of...

Just_Keith: I got this stripper after spending months using a fancier one, primarily because I'm left-handed, and the premium strippers (at least the one I have) are designed for right-hand use.
Despite being plastic, it has a durable feel to it. I can also strip most types and gauges of wire with it - some other strippers might not do so well with tiny gauge wire, teflon insulation wire, some solid-core wire, and so on. I also like that it has a locking mechanism that makes it more compact when you're not using it, because the grip has a pretty wide spread, to give a good mechanical advantage. The locking mechanism can be easily toggled with one hand, which is nice, too.
My complaints are kind of minor. the 'gap tooth' setup that grabs the insulation feels a little crude at times, and the device for setting the amount of insulation that's removed is worthless for my needs - it's either too long, or stupidly too long. Admittedly, I use it for very fine electronics work, with smaller gauge wire, and I only need about 3/8" bare wire at max. It's pretty easy to eyeball it for removing about 1/4" or so, but it would be nice to just slide the wire in and always remove the same...

Paul: Seems to strip both stranded and solid wires with ease. Does not cut into the copper. Wire gauge range very good, as stated. The wire cutter option on this tool is not as convenient or effective. That's OK, the stripper section works very well.
