Chester Mealer: I bought this to go with my linux tablet because of issues with the onboard wifi driver. It worked out of the box like a dream. It's not the fastest but then neither is my tablet. my primary concerns were working out of the box and low profile and it delivered on both.

Joshua L. Ankney: I turned a Raspberry Pi 4 into a travel router with this and it worked. However, don't expect it to be super fast. After flashing OpenWRT on the microSD card and get it setup (Ethernet, getting the built-in WIFI working, downloading the updates and WIFI drivers) just plug it in and it will work.

Peresvet: Plug in - see wireless networks. Connect. Unplug, connection lost. Plug back in, reconnects automatically. If this is not plug and play - I don't know what is! Did not have to tinker with any drivers or recompile anything.

BWM: Bought it for a Raspberry Pi 2, which doesn't include wifi. Worked first time, right out of the box, with no drivers to load.

Amazon Customer: I used the wifi dongle for my retropie, plug and play, only took 10 seconds to set everything up.
The dongle is small enough to fit inside of a mini-nes case.
Didn't get a chance to test throughput / distance, but this dongle was only needed so that I can transfer small files from my network to my pi and the system is located only a few feet from my access point.

My connections to my Celestron telescope mount's wifi interface are much more stable now that I'm using this adapter instead of my notebook's built-in wifi.
I still get disconnected occasionally, but now it's more like once every two hours instead of every 15 minutes like before.
