matthew robertson: It's reasonably good for the price, but there was absolutely no edge on it at all (it had an 1/8th inch radius to the edge) so it needs a ton of work to sharpen it before being able to use it.

Michelle K. Ells: The head is glued to the shaft, but still seems pretty sturdy. It's a just-in-case type of hatchet, anyway, not for everyday or even frequent use. I loathed the sheath, so I purchased a leather one that goes on and comes off very easily. The one it came with was very difficult to place and remove, and I worried I was going to cut myself.

Ryan HopkinsRyan Hopkins: Haven't gotten much of a chance to use it yet. Comes sharp but not sharp enough to chop wood very good. Looks solid but time will tell if the glue will hold the head on. Received the axe and the sheath had small burn/melted spot on the front corner. Submitted for a return and when I received the new axe, same thing. Must be a problem in the manufacturing line for it to happen twice in the same spot. Kept the less noticeably damaged one and returned the other. Kind of a tight fit in the sheath as well and one of the axe heads had a small chip in it, but overall, seems decent so far, for the price. Just need to sharpen and test how well it cuts.
