Calphalon Air Fryer Oven with Convection Performance

C. GarveyC. Garvey: Have had this unit nearly a month and my daughter and I have both used it several times. Made nice & crispy air fry’s using the included basket.

Have only used the air fry & baking functions so far. Been pleased with all results. Uniform cooking, etc.

Not sure if necessary but I placed on top of a stainless steel trivet to protect counter from heat. I used same trivet for my older air fryer which was far more clunky & large & far less sophisticated than this machine. The trivet also allows to slide unit back & forth on counter if needed. I find with French doors I haven’t had to need to slide unit forward either.

Overall I give this unit a 4+ rating. If it still works well without major issues in a year, I’ll come back to give a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Blake: This is definitely a good toaster oven. It's very versatile with all the different settings. It has a decent size and isn't too big for the countertop. Its a very sturdy built and stable countertop oven.
I ordered this to replace a B&D toaster oven and a dedicated air fryer. This is an ok air fryer but it's not great. It cannot yield the same results in the same amount of time as a dedicated air fryer can.
A load of frozen french fries will be crispy on the outside and hot and fluffy in the inside cooked in an air fryer for 15 mins at 400°. That same results takes 25 to 30 minutes in this toaster /air fryer oven at 450°. Even then the fries are not all evenly browned etc.
The difference in my opinion is that the dedicated air fryer has much higher velocity of hot air circulation than this air fryer oven has. If you want dedicated air fryer results from an "air fryer oven" .... Well.... a dedicated air fryer and an air fryer / toaster oven aren't comparable.
I bought this Calphalon air fryer oven. I like it. But I think I'll get a dedicated air fryer oven for french fries and other like fried food type items.

I have entertained numerous parties and get togethers, and I must admit, this French door Calphalon is a great friend. There's an earlier review about a smell from the oven when first used, well, that's just plain silly, there was no noticeable smell...."It's a brand new oven, you Ninny! My family has fallen in love with our "Cally" (short for, you guessed it, Calphalon). This is a very well made and sturdy little toaster oven that has convection (+turbo). She is compact and fits perfectly under any cabinet. Mind you now, she is a touch smaller than the big boys. Her working rack area is 12" across and 10" deep. There are protective shields that give adequate protection to the heating elements. "Cally" came with one rack, a toaster pan, and an air fryer rack ( Yes, she can air fry and dehydrate food.) A.A.XXXX: Es mi primer horno pero estoy muy satisfecho con el resultado, en caso de que alguien se lo pregunte, las medidas internas (Usables) son 35 de ancho X 30 de profundidad X 15 de altura.

Es decir, se pueden hacer pizzas de 30x30 perfectamente, con esas medidas y la configuracion "pizza" que tiene el horno se hacen en 17 minutos y quedan muy bien.

Jabba: I’ve had and used this toaster oven for about three months, so I think I’ve had it long enough to give a valid review. At first I ordered the Toshiba 25L Speedy Toaster Oven (about $89); even though it had a bunch of poor reviews, I thought I would try it. But the next day, this oven showed up as a deal with $100 off so I ordered it too and paid only $169. I figured I’d try one and if I didn’t like it, I could try the other. I decided to try this one first, and I kept it and returned the Toshiba unopened.

I got this because I was replacing an older Breville BOV450XL Mini Smart Toaster Oven, which I really really liked, but unfortunately after a couple years, the toasting became very uneven, the bottom side would not toast nearly enough. I thought it was an isolated flaw so I bought a second Breville and after a couple years, the same thing happened. So I was not going to buy a third and started my hunt for my next toaster oven.

This one is bigger than my prior one but it’s not too huge and fit nicely in the corner of my counter, just the right size for me. I do like it but I have a couple issues which I will describe.
