Amazon Customer: This is my second golf laser rangefinder and I can honestly say this one is much easier to use than the first (some generic model I got cheap). The rangefinder is nice and compact, plus the Pinseeker technology works as advertised. Here's the catch...after owning this product for just a few weeks, I noticed that there is a stain in the viewfinder. It's not on the outside, because I have cleaned all the lenses and it is still there. It doesn't affect the way the rangefinder works, but it is distracting. This is where the 2 stars comes in. I sent email to Bushnell support about the problem. Their response is to have me send the item to them for "evaluation" (no guarantee of repair or replacement) for 4-6 weeks. In addition, I have to send a check for $10 to cover return shipping!! Unfortunately, I have several important tournaments during the next few weeks and don't want to be without a rangefinder.

Paul Wiesen: I have now used this rangefinder for five or six rounds and it is everything I hoped it would be. It fits easily in my hand, is easy to use and very accurate. I now no longer have to guess my distance to the flag whether I am in the fairway, in the rough or anywhere else I may find myself on the golf course. And if you have ever seen me play you know that I tend to experience the entire golf course.
The pinseeker technology works as advertised and picks up the flag even if the green is framed in trees. I would definitely recommend this rangefinder to other golfers.

Frances A. Smith: When you think of a golf ball, your first thought is Titleist. There's a reason for that. They are the number one ball in golf!! The same goes for Bushnell and their rangefinders. When you need a rangefinder, Bushnell should be your only choice!! They build a quality, accurate, and an easy to use product! The Tour V2 is the second Bushnell that I have owned and I will never own anything other than a Bushnell. This is the first time having one with the "pinseeker" technology and extremely pleased with that feature. It really does distinguish the pin from background clutter. The size and weight make it very easy to hold on your target without having to brace it or use a mount. Definitely the best Bushnell I've had yet. I know this, when I need yardage and I get it from my Bushnell, I know that I can trust it!!! Plain and simple!!!! If you're looking for a rangefinder and are on a budget, this should be your ONLY choice!!!!

Gloria March: I have a new set of clubs and I wanted this item to use mostly on the practice range to figure out the distances on my shots. I haven't had it on the range yet but I pull it out for almost every shot on the course. I have to say that it has helped me choose my clubs pretty accurately and the thing I really like is that it does not take time to use it. I was fearful that I would get a read that was incorrect because I didn't want to hold any one up . Quick to use and I am happy with its accuracy.

Craig Frazer: I was looking for a replacement of my SkyCaddie (5) at renewal as I was tired of the ongoing fees and the constant loading and unloading of courses. I purchased the V2 as I didn't see the need for the slope capabilities in the V3 (and the issues that raises for tournament play).
After reading some of the reviews here on Amazon, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the V2 generated its readings. The viewfinder makes it easy to center on your target. There is the occasional mis-read for an object behind the target (generally trees behind a flag) but you quickly become accustomed to taking a reading at the front of the green and then the flag if you ever question the reading. It takes just a few seconds and you become increasingly confident in what constitutes a good reading. It is very good on standard flags and exceptional on flags with built in reflectors. You can read off of just about anything (e.g. players on the green, carts, irrigation boxes, trees, etc). So you have a variety of options to determine yardage and the occasional 'bailout' location.
The size is great and can be used single handed for most readings under 200 yards and dual handed for readings...

Jerry: After a bad experience with an Izzo Swami 3000 GPS (very inaccurate), I decided to try a laser rangefinder. I tried both the Bushnell V2 and the Leupold GX-1. I liked the extra features of the Leupold, however, as others have commented, I found that the yardage reading below the pipper as in the Bushnell was preferred. Additionally, if you wear glasses when you play as I do, the slight extra distance of your eye from the range finder lens moves the Leupold yardage readout out of your line of sight resulting in one having to tilt the Leupold after taking a laser shot in order to read the yardage.
I have used the V2 a few times now and it is simple to use, easy to read (even for an old guy) and is very accurate. I am very happy with the performance.
Update on 10/29/12: The battery lasted roughly 20 rounds or so. One drawback is that there is no low battery indicator. It just acted wacky all of a sudden until I changed the battery. Probably a good idea to carry a spare battery. I am still amazed at how it has helped me hit to the right distance. Still worth 5 stars.

A aujourd'hui R.A.S.
