Made in Europe with German engineering, this food processor is the best option for blending, overall performance, and easy maintenance. With 7 attachment blades, a chopper, and a citrus juicer, this machine can process food quickly and easily. The variable speed settings allow for convenient operation, while the detachable parts make it easy to clean and maintain. PaulM: It does everything a food processor needs to do -- chop, grate, slice, blend, mix, whisk etc -- well. It is relatively quiet for a machine with a 600w motor, and the build quality is as solid as to be expected of a Braun appliance. Most of all, with the bowl and motor being side by side rather than one on top of the other, it is relatively compact, a big plus for a small apartment kitchen when it is on the countertop and in storage in a cupboard below. It would be nice if it came with a storage box for the attachments and accessories, but a plastic container is proving serviceable if a less neatly organised alternative. The variable speed took a bit of getting used to for someone brought up on/off/pulse food processors, but the more I get the hang of it, the more useful I find it to be. The machine is easy to clean, although the grating disc holder discoloured quite quickly, a minor niggle. I'd rate the machine a fair value at the list price and a really good value if you can buy one at a decent discount.

Rezwan AzadRezwan Azad: I had Braun for over 13 years and it never gave up on me until I made a mistake and burnt the rotor. The Braun that I had was of big size with two separate huge plastic bowls and one glass bowl for soups and crushing ice. Loved it always. When it broke down I didn't get any for 7 years. I did buy small ones to try but retuned. Finally, I'm back with Braun. I just tried to turn on this new machine and it's so smooth so quite. The built the material all very good quality. Except I'm a bit iffy about the dough and whip blade, before, the one I had, they were made of metal these ones are plastic so I don't know how it will perform. And I don't like the green color button. But I have built such a tremendous trust with Braun that I just feel ill have a smooth long rides with it again. Thank you Braun for making such fine products.

ELH: Just received my Braun FP3020 food processor. I had a Braun many years ago that lasted for years with no problems. Recently I went through two Hamilton Beach models (got a great deal on HB) which both died within six months so I decided to spring for a Braun for the reliability and performance I remembered.
This new Braun "Tribute Collection" model is smaller than I the one I had before many years ago and fits nicely on my kitchen counter. It runs really well, is very easy to use and so far, I've used the dough hook, the fine slicer, the coarse slicer and the miniature chopper. I really love the mini chopper! It's a great feature not available on my earlier model from the 90s.
There are some good instructional videos on YouTube which show you how to operate the machine if you need help as the manual that comes with it isn't very comprehensive.
Great product. Pricey, but you get what you pay for and now having tried other food processors and realizing they have functional problems and aren't as reliable, I swear by Braun.

old analyst: We bought this to replace our 48 year old Braun Kitchen machine which still works quite well but is getting noisy and a couple of the attachments have cracked parts or are worn. That machine was a different design, with an elevated drive point to power slicers, blenders, etc. and a removable top arm to power mixers in bowls set on a base below it. The new version powers everything from a drive point just above the counter-top and is more compact and convenient. We also had a couple other "kitchen machines" from other well-known brands because we thought they might perform some functions (e.g., slicing/grating, or mixing heavy dough batters) better but none of them were as well designed and durable as the Braun. We have been using the new device with various attachments for about a month and find it works very well, smoothly and quietly. It is lighter then the old version with thinner plastic moldings and attachments and I doubt it will last 48 years like the old one did, but then I am CERTAIN that I will not last another 48 years.

David W: I have always used Cuisinart food processors. I needed a second one for a new kitchen. The reviews for this Braun FP3020 were a bit better so I decided to try it.
It took a little getting used to -- about 30 seconds. I found it superior in several ways to the Cuisinart, although it is a little unfair to compare this newer version to an old one.
The motor is on the side, not the bottom. That is what that white structure in the picture is. Consequently, the footprint is rectangular and a little larger but not by much. The height is lower. The weight of all the new models is less than the older ones. This one seems very solid and well built.
The machine has tremendous versatility, resulting in a lot of attachments that will need to be stored. I plan to separate the common use ones from the others.
The main bowl is a good medium/large size. Liquids do not leak even at high levels. Chopping blade does a much better and faster job with no stray chunks hiding in the mixture and no need to stop and redistribute the pieces. There is a short pouring spout on the bowl that could be a little more pronounced, but still a very nice feature. The pusher has measuring...

Andy: I don't usually write reviews, but I do read a lot as I plan on making purchases. This product definitely deserves a review. I have six children and used my old, trustworthy cusinart food processor almost daily for the last 12 years. As children have come, though, the food processor became too small. I was making mess after mess trying to process too much liquid or processing in rounds to get enough to feed my family. It was time to upgrade to a larger one. I search the larger cusinart and kitchen aide processors before settling on this Braun 12 cup. The main reason was the liquid max capacity. A 14 cup food processor from another brand still might only hold 5 cups of liquid before making a mess, but this one can hold 9. That's a huge difference when talking about soup or sauce. It reduced the need to puree batches and allowed me to do it all at once. I have used the machine almost daily for two weeks and am in love for reasons I didn't expect. It's super quiet and doesn't wake toddlers on Saturday mornings. The variable speed on the motor allows me to chop broccoli on a slow speed for chicken and rice casserole or puree it on a faster speed to hide the broccoli in potato soup....

Lou Morrow: I bought this and the seller prior had kindly given me the unit height in inches because I needed a food processor that would sit on the kitchen counter and fit under the overhanging cabinets. It’s the only one on the market that does this. It’s an excellent processor, chops well, has many attachments and is quiet. It was about $350 which is an awful lot of money but all the others were too tall and bulky.
