Kamu: This clipper works just fine. My cat's claws will get long ofc and become murder mittens that must be dealt with, lest there be lots of painful mishaps handling him. This can easily be turned to get at his dew claws too. He usually gets treats when he loses his death daggers, don't worry~

Jon s: I bought this product when I got my new puppy. One thing to keep in mind for trimming puppy nails is it's easier for you to hit their "quick", which is essentially the nerves in their nails. If you hit the quick you have cut the nails too short and they will probably bleed quite a bit. These nail trimmers work great for larger dogs as they have a guide to help you with length that works great for medium to large dogs. Just be careful trimming puppy nails using the guide on these clippers. Overall I would still recommend these clippers as they work great, provided you understand the above comments with puppies.

Stacy Martin Artist: I have a Great Pyrenees and clipping her nails is like trimming a Shetland Pony. Her nails are thick, large and hard. Her fur makes seeing the nails and not clipping them too short even harder. These have a nice guard on them and are strong and sharp. I was able to clip her nails quickly and easily even with my 60 year old, arthritic hands! Definitely recommend.

Sierra N.: Our dog is a very energetic. She particularly uses this energy to get out of getting her nails clipped so that we have to ply her with treats to even hope to get one paw done at a time. Then when we'd get her to sit, she would still snatch her paws away when I clipped them unless it was at the very tip of her nail. Even when I wet her nails/paws to reduce any nail brittleness, clipping my dogs' nails was still an uphill battle. Why say any of this? Because I thought that was just how she was until I used the Boshel nail clippers. First, my hand has been hurting me lately so I thought I was going to have to hold off, but the ease of use when handling the clippers is absolutely awesome. People that struggle with weak hand strength would be able to use it easily. Second and most importantly, she doesn't recoil and jump every time I clip her nails now. She's SO much more tranquil which cuts the clipping time in half and I can actually make the cuts I need to the first time. I guess it's the recoil + the sharpness of the clippers. Third, the clippers also come equipped with a nail file that slides into the end of the clippers. If you have a dog, buy these clippers!

Marcia Dambrauskas: The clippers are as described but are better suited to a man's hand due to the length of them. I did find them to be light in the handle which makes me wonder about durability. I haven't been able to use them yet as my dog is terrified to have his nails clipped.

Bruce W: I used to always cut our dogs nails until that one time I drew blood, then I paid people to do it. Fast forward 3 dogs, our year old Swiss Mountain/Bernese cross is large and strong. We are running out of options so I decided to get back into dog nail cutting. We found these clippers on the internet and gave them a try. These are so much better than our old clippers. They appear to be well constructed and comfortable to use. The only downside is the nail file will not stay in the handle but then I was not planning on doing much filing. The best feature is the guard that limits how much nail you can clip at a time. No more cutting too far up the nail in the quick territory. Not to say our dog likes the process, as it is one person cutting, one person feeding treats and both of us wrestling. What is different is my worry that I will accidentally draw blood is gone. Not to say it won't happen in the future, but the odds of it happening are way lower (plus I have the magic powder near by to stop the bleeding)

N174ever: These successfully cut through our 38kg lurcher’s claws. They’re very easy to use and because they cut through easily and quickly, he’s happy for us to clip his claws.
