Alireza: I had Leica before. It looked more robust.
But this laser is also fine and it’s working very well.
I haven’t used the app yet but I think it should be so easy and straightforward.

Recommend it and happy to have it.

Sig Fan: I paid over $200 for the original one I had 20 years ago and it worked very well all this time. I had a project and couldn't find it so I got a cheaper model from home depot. It was hard to read so I returned and ordered this model. It does so much more than the original and also the one I returned. I can easily read and it has so many features I can't name them all. Great value, shipped fast and feature rich.

Phoenix: I'm a carpenter and a superintendent. I bought this primarily to size out large equipment, cranes, boom trucks etc. for jobsites, but I've also used it to survey room sizes quickly, take elevations, check general layout.

I will say right off that the carry case is worthless. The tool is covered with a non-skid rubber for gripping, and the nylon case is made extremely tight with elastic with velcro. The two materials fight against each other, and the carry case was an early casualty. The laser came with a super-thin wrist strap, but the plastic on the laser was actually more fragile than the strap and broke immediately. Plan on carrying this in your pocket.

The accuracy seems spot-on. I've checked it multiple times out of the box and it matched my tape measurements within 1/8" or less every time. I don't know if I'd trust it for cutting trim, but it could get you close enough to creep up on tight dimensions. It's certainly accurate enough for what I'm doing with it.

The software is pretty easy to use. I did read the manual, but I feel that someone could do 80% of what they needed without actually reading it. Having said that, I haven't mastered the indirect...

CDMCDM: Por si sola es una herramienta de gran ayuda. Adjunto imágenes de la caja, cómo viene empaquetado y el sello de seguridad. Lo pedí en Amazon USA por lo que el idioma viene por default en inglés sin embargo para mí no hay ningún problema. La protección del aparato es muy buena en caso de qué la caja llegara golpeada, el aparato viene en un plástico muy resistente por lo que tuve que usar tijeras para poder abrirlo. Las funciones son las más comunes en este tipo de aparatos, sin embargo la app ayuda mucho para trazar lo que se está midiendo. Trae nivel para poder usarlo tanto vertical como horizontal. Va guardando las últimas mediciones que hiciste, lo cual considero de gran ayuda ya que a veces en el mismo trabajo no alcanzas a anotarlos por lo que este equipo te ayuda en ese aspecto. Viene en pies/pulgadas pero puedes configurarlo a metros/centímetros. El nivel se pone en rojo si esta muy desnivelado (mas de 3 grados), amarillo sin está entre 1-3 y verde cuando está bien novelado. jasonn: I looked at this as well as the Leica. The leica has the functionally to hold the device on an outside wall, but it is also $70 more. I think I can hold the bocsh to an outside corner good enough. I also extensively looked at both free apps.
The Leica app was very basic and would work well for one room with no rooms within a room or windows, doors, other objects. I tested it on my phone.

Both apps have difficulty exporting pdf with short walls as both overwrite other measurements. I tried out the Bosch on an tablet and on a phone. The Bosch has two modes, sketch and detailed. If you are on a tablet, only using the detailed is the way to go if you have multiple rooms.

the bosch has a few key features that i liked:
When you roughly draw a room, both apps scale the walls. For the bosch, when you actually enter a reading, it will show you the original drawn length and the actual reading. this is a handy sanity check. The lieca app does this as well by changing the line from dashed to solid but does not show both the estimate and the actual. M: This is the best laser measure ever!!! I purchased this for my interior design firm, since measuring a room with a tape measure isn't the most accurate, nor is it the most time efficient way. I've used other laser measures before and was never really sold on them. The screens were always a bit difficult to read, weren't very accurate, clunky, etc... However, this Bosch one is the absolute best! Small and easy to put in your pocket, while walking around the job site - or, toss in your bag! It connects easily to your phone or iPad (to use the Bosch app), though, I've never really played around on the app to give feedback on that, but I'm sure it's useful. Love this laser and will be purchasing more for my firm!

As a side note, I purchased a third-party hard sided case (HermitShell brand, I think. It's originally sold as a case for a digital recorder) to prevent the laser from getting damaged in my bag, or turned on, and it fits perfectly with extra space for backup batteries! The nylon and velcro case that comes with the Bosch laser is mediocre. It's a little too small for the device, and would definitely rub the rubberized sides too much overtime and wear it down. Doug B.: I am a home hobbyist that appreciates convivence. The GLM 50 C weighs less and is less bulky than my "old school" 25 foot measuring tape while measuring more than 6 times its distance. Not to mention it also measures level and angles that I would need two other tools to do so.

I really like how easy it is to read and appreciate when the screen rotates with its orientation when measuring. So much easier than deciphering the scale on my tape measure. Switching between imperial & metric is easy and important to me because I use both scales for my projects.

Its Bluetooth capabilities was a major factor in my decision to purchase this. My initial purpose was to accurately capture floor plans to build custom cabinetry. I use SkecthUp for design but still need the initial "as is" measurements to start the process. (I'm not aware of a way to integrate measurements from a Bluetooth measuring device into SkecthUp).

So why did I only rate this 4 out of 5? I had hoped the free Bosch MeasureOn app would be sufficient to meet my basic floorplan documentation needs, it didn't. After a reasonable attempt at using it I found it too limiting so I'm now using MagicPlan which...

Enteecee: I was originally going to get the GLM 20, but for a few more dollars decided to double the range and get a GLM35. From there, it seemed dumb to not just spend a few MORE few more dollars for a screen that's actually readable. That sounds silly, but I'm glad I did.
This thing is everything I've ever wanted from a laser measure... almost, which I'll get to after these pros:

- It's just the right size. Much smaller and it'd be hard to handle or read, but it's easy to keep in my bag so I never forget it.

- The interface is great in virtually every way. All the features are easy to get to and use intuitively, including changing settings.

- Speaking of which, you can swiftly configure and reconfigure settings however you want (almost... wait for that below, I said). Running dimensions or overall, real time or captured, feet or just inches, from front or back of the meter. This is quick enough to make those worth changing to best suit the moment rather than making do for a few minutes.

- That display, man. Not only is clear and bright enough to be instantly legible under any condition, but it rotates with the device, making reading even easier. Which is...
