glich22: It’s very easy to use, especially if someone is not a techy and has hard time with led displays and touch buttons, etc. it has a good old knob to set the temperature in Celcius or Fahrenheit. The only drawback is the black plastic look and feel. It looks and feels cheap, frágil and it’s a fingerprint magnet. Perhaps I should have gone with the white one, but I believe it will be the same material. It’s not a cheap kettle and so that was disappointing.

Abby Shull: Trying to cut down on my daily coffee so trying to get into tea, this little thing is perfect size for my needs and sits next to the keurig. If you are a tea purist, no you cannot control the temp if you are looking for specific temps for specific teas. As for the oxidization on bottom and difficulty cleaning due to swivel lid, I just make sure to prop it upside down to fully dry before putting back on base which seems to be preventing the gunk on the bottom.

Aaron W.: I have 3 of these, one for each of 2 offices, and one for home. They are very simple and their capacity is perfect for the average French Press. Just pick it up off of the base plate, which disconnects it from the power cord, then fill, then flip the switch on and wait for the switch to automatically flip back off when the water is boiling. Do not overfill as that appears to make the switch not automatically flip back off as soon as it starts boiling rapidly like it normally does. When overfilled, it just keeps boiling but am not sure for how long, never decided to let it keep boiling to find out. I would guess it would just keep boiling until the water level drops very close to the max level line. Either way, I think it is a great product that is very simple to use without needing to adjust anything.

The base does not heat up. The heating plate is built into the kettle and does not appear to be removable.

The base plate is just to provide power to the kettle and the electric contacts within it are not exploded for someone to accidentally touch them.

The kettle has a small removable wire mess filter mounted at the pouring spout.

Pedro: La he usado apenas unas 5 ocasiones y de momento muy bien, esperemos que dure. El tamaño de 0.5 lts es el adecuado para los que viven solos, para dos personas mejor el de un litro, para calentar medio litro le toma entre 3.5 y 4 minutos aprox. La ventaja que se apague sola es mandatoria en una cafetera. Este modelo lleva mas de 8 o 10 años en el mercado, lo que la hace un modelo por demas probado. El diseño es moderno y atractivo. Lee el instructivo es muy basico y muy importante cuando usas hervidoras electricas, por ejemplo, la jarrita la debes de rellenar de agua sin que este puesta en la base. Lo unico que no me gusto es que el cable de la base, no sea "quitapon" y que la jarra no tenga algun cadado al adherirla a la base. Tambien me hubiera gustado que la capacidad fuera de unos 600 ml, porque siempre se requiere algo de agua caliente adicional para precalentar ya sea termo, taza, jarra v60, prensa francesa, etc.
En este tamaño, tiene la ventaja de ser algo portable, por lo que la puedes transportarla a otros lados sin gran dificultad. Es mandatorio comprarla, para los aficionados al cafe que usan pour over y french press. Te recomiendo que la llenes a la mitad y uses...
