Regan: We are reading one book every day for a week before more to the next. My daughter (2) loves it & calls them her special ABC books. Every day I intend on reading it just once but she has me re-read it another 2-3 times each day. I'm glad she enjoys it so much and it's helping her learn her letters.

Tater Mom: I saw the negative reviews, but having had other Bob Books for my first child I didn't care. Yes, the illustrations are a little strange and simple, but it IS for preschoolers and they don't have very high standards on those things. So I like that he enjoys them.

Eveliina: Good idea to introduce alphabet - albeit a very short sentence story for two letters per book. Our version was missing the letters I and J.

J. French: I don't know what it is about these books, but they work. They are only simple little books, but the choice of language is perfect for teaching little ones to read. It worked for my two children. The books are tiny and numbered and the children enjoy putting them in order and keeping them in the little box. The other levels are very good too.

khadijalynn: I am currently using these books for my 3 year old. She is in love with these books. I love the simple stories and my daughter actually memorizes the stories and reads to me. I waited so long to purchase these books!! I once thought that they would be too simple. When teaching reading I now believe sometimes simple and silly are the best way to go with young children. When I say simple and silly, I do not mean ridiculous words with no sense. These teach correct sounds, words and even phonics etc....I highly recommend!!!

Mel: We got these for our 4 year old who has always been interested in her big brother's BOB books. She is starting to learn sight words and is beginning to sound out simple words on her own. I thought these would be simple enough for her to start trying to "read" independently (as simple as the first set of BOB reading books). These are more of a read aloud. They are super-short stories using two of the letters in each book. Maybe once we read them enough she'll have them memorized so she will "read" them.

Jennifer HilzerJennifer Hilzer: These came highly recommend to me as we learn letters and sounds and are starting to read. It’s very different from any other books we have. Fun to ready! My 2 year old likes holding the small books and likes putting them in alphabetical order.
