April G.: What I love about Bob books is that there are no "extra" words thrown in (those clearly above advertised reading level, meant to fill gaps, connect, or include popular characters from TV shows...). Every single word in these books is the right level for your beginning reader. My son is 5, but home schooled for PreK so he is a bit ahead. We are ordering 1st grade sight words next, but have already finished this pack, as well as "Starting to Read" and "Emerging Reader" packs.

mitrall: short and sweet books, easy and short/simple words/phrases. fun/recurrent characters. kids feel good about being able to read and get excited about it instead of frustrated. most books are for more advanced beginning readers. this is perfect for kindergarteners. My kid truly loves it and I bought the whole series.

My kid is 4 and 1/2 years old and she is able to read this book all by her self. It's a great beginner reader book. Well crafted and put together. It's the Best. I will happily recommend this book to any parent teaching their child to read. Thank you for this books. This books have guides for the parent. You let the child read by themselves. It help the feel accomplish and I noticed this books are built such that they increase a child's desire to want to read more.

Amazon Customer: First, I didn't realize their was an order to the different sets. So I bought the Sight words as my first set for my 4 year old daughter. She is just now learning to read in school and she absolutely loves these books. Being able to read a while book by herself makes her proud. And I love finally having bed time stories read to me 😋
Each book is simple with few words and pictures. As you progress through the system and your child becomes better at reading it gets more complex. It comes with flash cards which my daughter and I are able to play various games with.
This was the first set I bought and I'm definitely looking forward to getting the next set
