dcjax: I read Dr. Seuss books to my children from the time they were born until they could read for themselves. They loved the rhyming words and laughed at the silly pictures.
Take a child’s hand and trace the letters while you sing the ABC song. My children recognized and said their ABC’s by the time they were two. Thank you, Dr. Seuss!
Now I send Dr. Seuss books as presents for both the child and parents.

Edward BalenEdward Balen: I have read this book as a child and now that I am an adult I still love it. I am tickled pink by the zany character names in the book. My two favorite characters in the book are the fiffer-feffer-feff and the zizzer-zazzer-zuzz. I find this book to be an entertaining and wacky way for people to learn the alphabet. I have read the board book version of this, which I think is markedly abbreviated. I prefer the original hardcover version over the board book.

Traceg: I always loved the Dr Suess books as a child and decided to buy one for my grandson learning his ABC's. This is the first book I have bought for him and will buy more. It arrived on time and perfect condition.

BookReader: Read this book to my 17 month old once or twice a day for 2 weeks (she LOVED it and repeatedly requests it) and suddenly she knew her alphabet and can recognize all her capital letters and many of the sounds they make too. This book will teach lower case too eventually, but right now I'm impressed she's learned all the capitals at such a young age. I got it for her as I remember that this book taught me to read when I was a toddler, but I didn't expect so much so fast at her young age, we just read it cuz she loved the fun rhymes! (Note: This is a review of the original version, not the board book, which I have heard is abridged. I do not have the board book and have not read it but the reviews for both show up in the same place with this particular title it would seem.)

S. Lee: My son was about 14 months when he started pointing at letters and trying to say them. He'd stand in front of a word and pretend he's reading it by babbling something in baby-ish. In the spirit of trying to teach him what those letters are, I bought an ABC video from Sesame Street and various Dr. Seuss books, but mostly because of this particular one. So at around 16 or 17 months, we started going page by page, and I'd point at the letters, he'd say what it is, I'd clap and cheer for him, then the book names a few that start with the particular letter and I'd say them (sometimes I'd name a few more things), he'd repeat them, then I'd give him a final cheer and kiss to acknowledge he did very well! We do this for every single one of the 26 letters in this book a few times a week. It is, by far, his favorite thing in this world. Every night I get home from work, he'd wait in front of the garage door, book on hand, and as soon as I open the door he says, "Mommy!! ABCs, ABCs!!" he then runs to the couch, climbs up and waits there for me. He's 20 months now and not only can he name all his letters, he can name items that start with that particular letter, and now he recognizes those...
