Jennifer Magar: It doesn't work. It might be stunning the flies, but they just drop into the bottom, still alive. I turned off all the lights in the house to attract the flies to the unit.

Maybe I have super flies.

Anyway, I ordered another more powerful unit from another supplier that I used in the past and works fast.

I would return these, but I actually gave one of them to a neighbor, so my loss.

AG: Every year we get a months-long infestation of box elder beetles. They seem to congregate on the exterior of our home in the fall, seeking warmth, then somehow they get into the house and there are baby ones and mature ones all over. We got used to picking them off of everything.

We bought this and set it up indoors. At the peak of their season, we get several HUNDRED of these bugs every few days in the catchment tray. My wife doesn't like the popping and zapping sounds, or the smell of burnt beetles, but it's far better than the alternative!

I am very impressed with this and would purchase it again.

Rampant Shopaholic: It turns out that cicada killer wasps think they're moths, so they, despite allegedly being diurnal creatures, hang out at the lights by my doors at night. They don't bother people, so this wouldn't be a problem, except my dog is either stupid or getting a buzz on and enjoying it, because she keeps eating them. That wouldn't be a problem either, except she appears to be mildly allergic to them and has a reaction, but learns nothing from it. As usual, I turned to Amazon for a solution and quickly found this pair of zappers. They are compact and affordable, and they don't make the loud, annoying buzz that zappers usually do. Because the cicada killers are large, cleaning is tough, because they get stuck. Very stuck. Cord is VERY short, so order an extension cord.

Tamara Aguilar: Busqué muchas opciones para eliminar los mosquitos en mi casa y esta fue una buena solución!
No hace ruido, la luz es fuerte y eso ayuda a atraer a los mosquitos y bichos en general.
El cable es corto, así que no es posible colgarlo sin una extensión pero lo ponemos en una superficie y funciona.

Andrew: This bug zapper only has 1 draw back. It has a short cord (about 2 feet long) which means you have to use an extentsion cord to plug it in. it has zapped a few bugs so far but it should get a work out in June when the the bugs are out in full force. Overall happy with this purchase.
