I love these batteries when they're fresh. They'll run a 20 Volt B+D weed trimmer or hedge pruner (Super tool!) for a long time. Pretty amazing. I cycle through a group of charged batteries so I always have spares. However, some of these seem to have a long life and take many recharges, some not so. But I do think I have had only one develop almost a no charge state. Another just doesn't get up to strength. When it's a new battery at full charge it has terrific power, say, running the weed trimmer. When the batteries get older, they may still charge properly but the output to the weed tool isn't as potent. The tool "works" but won't blaze through the tougher stuff.

I initially ordered this because I got an adaptor to convert my Grasshog weed eater from Ni-Cad to lithium batteries and the original lithium I bought at the time of getting the adaptor will no longer charge.
The batteries themselves are decent quality ones (4 stars) if you end up with new ones that are recently manufactured. I say the word “if”, because in past orders I received one that is four years old from other places (HD), and that battery would not charge. Luckily, my B&D battery charger immediately detected the battery as being bad, as the battery would not charge at all, which I immediately returned and got replaced.
I noticed that there is a year of manufacture on the batteries and packaging (in this case from AMZ was 2022 and was still bad, and one previously from HD was from 2019, and it is the middle of 2023). This seems to be a vendor problem all over as these may sit on the shelves for a long period before being sold.
I suggest checking the batteries right after arrival to make sure you get one that hasn’t been sitting in the warehouse for a long period of time and you end up with an old/bad set like I did or...
