These wheels aren't too sensitive to tightening the screw. Good spin after tightening but not too hard. Felt great, and the LEDs aren't diffused so they are much brighter and light up the road as well. Very happy with these.

erin m crenshaw: They are exactly what we needed for a couple toys. We used it for a plasma wiggle toy(?), rideable toy, that had solid plastic wheels. These work SOOO much better! Very smooth, fast and light up bright. The kids love it and the toys work better than ever!

spectra: The wheels themselves are great for road skating, especially at night where they double as a safety feature, alerting motorists of them.
The friction generator inside the hub that powers the LEDs needed a fair deal of repeated adjustments for tightness with my allen wrenches before it really wore in so the wheel neither slipped/bumped when in use nor was so tight it caused the hub to slow down or overheat, making it trickier to maintain speed. After a few days of use and experimenting with tightness, though, they work great. Would be 5 stars if they worked reliably right out of the box, no tweaking needed, but it's pretty cool such an odd technology (friction hub powered, no batteries on board!) can work in the first place.

wil: These are outstanding LED wheels for inline skates. I purchased the 64mm wheels for my kids skates and these work well, The wheels have ABEC 9 bearings pre-installed on the wheels as part of the mechanical internals for the self-sufficient power produced from the friction of bearing movement. The LEDs will turn on as the wheels are in motion and there are no batteries to worry about. These wheels are great upgrades in terms of entertainment and wow factor value for my kids; I'm happy with the purchase. I also have to mention the superb customer service by TGM Skateboards who very quickly resolved an issue I had with my order.

EDUARDO F TEIXEIRA: I bought these LED light up wheels in a size 76mm / 82A hardness for the outer wheels (first and last) and bought separate 80mm 82A (non-light up as I could not find 80mm/82A with LEDs). The larger wheels go in the middle which provides better and smoother cornering and zigzagging and puts less pressure on the knees. This is the best setup in my opinion for riding both outdoor/indoor. With this setup only the outer wheels light up but it looks cool all the same. Kids love it!
The 82A wheels are softer so they grip better but they wear out more quickly when riding rough terrain outdoors but I think it's worth it as you are less likely to skip or slide. I'm buying these again and can't wait to get back on my blades! Have fun!
