Trish: I actually purchased this for my cat. He was overweight and lost 3 lbs. in a matter of 9 months. My vet thought it was too fast and I needed to monitor his weight. I saw this on Amazon and purchased it for he and my other 4 cats. If he continues to lose weight he will have to go and have bloodwork done to see why. So hopefully by being able to use this scale, I can see in more detail instead of having to take him back often. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Gypzy’s Labrador Retrievers: We use the scale in our kennel for weighing puppies every 2 weeks for deworming. We breed 6-8 litters a year, so it gets a lot of use. It works great and is the same brand and model that our vet uses. Our first order was defective and they helped troubleshoot over the phone and sent us a new one, which was received within less than a week. Customer service is great, product warranty is great, and the product itself is great and easy to use.

Kimberly M: I have a cat whose weight I have to keep track of as he has an inflammatory condition so I bought this. It works really well and it is easy to use. If I have one complaint, it is that when you set it down the battery cover pops off and a battery falls out about 50% of the time. This can easily be fixed with some tape. I would not say it is 100% accurate as I weighed my cat about an hour or two before the last time I took him to the vet and he weighed about 0.3 lb more at the vet than he did at home. However, I can still keep track of whether or not his weight changes based on the scale's regular results even if they are a little skewed compared to a vet's scale.

JMWJMW: I am not sure about the baseline accuracy of this scale, however I am overall satisfied. I weighed a 5 lb hand weight and it says that it is 5.04lbs. That translates to 5 lbs and 0.64 ounces as it only weighs in lbs and tenths of a pound on the pound setting. I also weighed the same 5 lb hand weight on my kitchen scale and it says 5 lbs and 0.012 ounces. So it appears that the kitchen scale is more accurate. I purchased to track weight gain and loss for my cats, so despite the baseline accuracy issue, it does the job and I am not going to return. I like the fact that it is a solid base that sits flush to it's surface rather than coming in parts that put together like other models. Only 4 stars due to the baseline accuracy issue, and the fact that it doesn't weigh in pounds and ounces. Just keep this in mind prior to purchase. Works well for pets who don't want to sit still due to "hold" function.

Cherie Perks: We were at our vet's practice a week or so ago and weighed our pups on their Beurer scale, which was so easy. We have been using a food scale and every weigh in was chaos with the weight bouncing all over the place. This scale is so easy and we get a reading in seconds. We ordered ours as soon as we arrived home from our appointment. VERY happy. My only complaint...it is not back lit. Otherwise... perfection.
