Nonnie: These gel food coloring tubes are a great no-mess solution. The colors are really vibrant. I mixed the yellow with Knox & poured it onto an AngelFood cake. The result was the brightest, yellow cake you ever saw. Perfect base for a 4yr old’s birthday cake.
I will never use liquid food coloring again.

Marco Pariente-Cohen: Had chosen gel food coloring instead of liquid as I was told it would make a more vibrant color. We had tried mixing blue into premade frosting as well as into cake batter. The colors did not mix in well - it looked more like a green cake with blue spots rather than a fully blue cake.

Sue LillySue Lilly: Important: I thought gel food coloring, which I needed for this rainbow cake, was hard to find. It’s not. After I bought this here, I found it in my local grocery store. But I love the way my daughter smiled when she saw this fun birthday cake. I followed the Dunkin Hines recipe for rainbow cake - you can it find online.
