Stephen J Cupp: Mr. Cornwell has written dozens upon dozens of historical novels and never disappoints. His Napoleonic series of over twenty novels with his powerful main character Richard Sharpe is impeccable. Reading Sharpe’s Assassin after Cornwell had taken time off from the series for many years was a delight.

gingblack@aol.com:
I enjoyed all the Sharpe books.
The characters are old friends, and this latest book seems to bring things to a close. If it is the last one, I will be disappointed, but has been a very good journey with Sharpe

Teresa Imm: Bernard Cornwall is the best and so is Sharpe. The only bad thing about the Sharpe books is that eventually you come to the end.

NK: I am Sharpe deprived. Read the entire series two times and this has been a welcome addition. Sharpe and Harper are an irresistible combination and the 7 barrel gun cannot be out done. I absolutely enjoy the Sharpe experience where he seeps confidence from every orifice. My one request is please don’t make this the last of Sharpe or Harper!

Martin A. Healey: Always a good rollicking read. Predictable yes but fun to get reacquainted with the cast. Good Villain and nice wrap up.

Erik Forsell: Äntligen refererar till att författaren kommit ut med en ny bok i serien efter så många år. Litet annorlunda skriven än de tidigare, men det var inga problem, älskar denna serie och min enda kritik är att jag läste ut boken så snabbt.

Mikel: Since so many of the regular characters had been killed off by the time this story was set, we didn't enjoy it quite as much, but it was still very good.
