Made eating and drinking easier. Able to keep an eye on and monitor the ear scar from an operation. Unlike the normal Cone where they continually bump into things, the ring is a much lesser impact when walking through gaps. We are surprised that Veterinary clinics do not offer the choice of Cone or Soft ring.

Sally Allen: He seems very comfortable with it regarding eating & sleeping.
The only downside it does tend to lose pressure after a day or so & is quite uncomfortable to blow it up! I think a small pump at a bit
extra would be ideal.
I would therefore recommend the Bencmat to anyone who needs a collar of some sort.
Well done for a great product!

Leah ZanoniLeah Zanoni: It works great as long as it is positioned correctly. The Velcro attachment area needs to be at the back of their neck, otherwise they can reach any area to lick and chew.
After my dog was spayed, she wore a standard plastic collar for 4 days before she found a way to chew it in half. That is when I switched her to this collar. Her spay area healed pretty good within those first 4 days, which is what prevented her from being able to lick it open when she figured out a way around this collar. I did not know this collar needed to have the Velcro attachment area at the back of her neck. She cannot chew this collar, but was able to spin it around with her paw so her neck would fit into the Velcro area, allowing her access to lick her spay area without any issues. Once I noticed and rotated the collar around for the Velcro area to be at the back of her neck, she can no longer access the spay area. This collar stays where you put it as long as the dog does not rotate it with their paw.
She is much more comfortable in this collar; she can finally eat and sleep without issue. The only downside, is she is able to play and be more rambunctious in this collar compared to the floppy...

Amazon Customer: When I received it it seemed like it was already used as the package was open already. Then I blow it up and put it on. It fit great. She loves it. Only problem is it doesn't hold air. I have had it 2 days and have blown it back up 3 times now. She has used it so I don't feel right returning it but it doesn't hold air. I should have returned it when I saw it was open.
Update to this review. The seller reached out and offered to either send me a new one or refund my purchase. My dog is only in her cone for another 2 days so a new one wouldn't do me any good. They refunded my purchase. I do think this is a great product and we would have used it constantly if the one I had held air. My only change would be if it was about 2 more inches wider on all sides. This might make it a little harder for her to reach. Still a great product as is.

Sandra R.: My dog was castrated but he got an infection in his wound. The plastic collar the vets sent him home in was so uncomfortable for him and cut into his chest so I ordered the buster collar for next day delivery and it was so comfortable for Boris. He is now all healed up and I have washed the buster collar for if I need it again. Just get your pets a buster collar, we'll worth it. Thank you Amazon

not_smarter_than_a_5th_grader: The product appears stern and solid. The problem is, it's a little too bulky for medium to smaller dogs. My dog would not eat with this on, and I need it on due to his recent eye surgery. I don't see how he can sleep in this either. The seller needs to find a design less like a life preserver. It would be better to find a tub that is thinner and wider than short and round.

MaDa: It was so hard to inflate this by mouth! But after I finally made it, my dog didn't mind having it on.
Although it is much comfortable for your dog, please make sure to put back his original collar back when you are not able see and prevent your dog from licking. Our dog managed to lick his post neutering wound and reopen it, so we had to put back the original plastic (Elizabethan) collar and extend his rest and recovery days!
He was wearing the inflatable collar during the day, while we were able to watch over him, but definitely make sure not to leave your dog unattended with it on. Especially if you have a medium size/ large dog- most dogs will find a way to lick their wound without the Elizabethan collar on.
Overall, good product but a very risky substitute!

mushingirl: Overall this was a pretty good option for my large pyrenese mix after ACL surgery. At night I used the plastic cone because I couldn't watch him. During the day for 2 weeks I used this one. He actually used it as a pillow in his crate. Within a week he got ahold of the velcro and chewed through it but I sewed it up. This morning - 2 weeks exactly - I woke to find the felt ring around his neck and no tubing. He some how had pulled it through and shredded it. It may be that he got it because over the 2 weeks the zipper would not stay closed. Also, it does not completely keep him from messing with his leg. It was good if he has a little supervision. I'd probably try this again but mixed thoughts on that.

Lisa m: My clever dog did manage to get his paw caught in the collar and he was in some distress. I was there at the time and wouldn’t really recommend leaving this on the kind of dog that might do this if he was unattended.
