He was able to sleep and eat well with it on. The only issue is that he could still get to his paws to lick, he wasn’t able to get to his crotch area or behind area so if your dog only needs those areas to be protected this should work. However, if you need them to not have access to licking their paws, this. does not work very well.

KathAnnonKathAnnon: Stella is 10 years old and active. She has a cyst in her hind leg. I just put this on her tonight with meds on her leg without wrapping it. So far,
PROs
- Pup doesn’t try to get at her leg yet because she is distracted by the tube
- This 100% NOT THE COLLAR OF SHAME. YAH!!! For people who are not familiar, the collar of shame is the hard plastic collar that comes out past the dogs, face and ears. Your pet has no peripheral vision and cannot see where they are going, it scares them, they bump into things, the collars can be rather terrifying.
- This soft tube is inflatable. FYI - I received a new unused product in an unopened box in case you are wondering abt one of the reviews
- I did not attach one of her collars to the tube as instructed. I didn’t want to freak her out bcs she does not wear a collar unless we are going out. Also, I thought it would be a bit less invasive in general. I just inflated the tube and released the Velcro strap, put it around her and put the strap back so it’s almost like a collar not too tight and she seems OK with it for now.
- If for some reason Stella is able to damage the team be bcs I did not anchor it with a collar,...

Flea: My dog will not stop scratching, hence the reason I bought it.
She hates wearing it, so in way, it works

mushingirl: Overall this was a pretty good option for my large pyrenese mix after ACL surgery. At night I used the plastic cone because I couldn't watch him. During the day for 2 weeks I used this one. He actually used it as a pillow in his crate. Within a week he got ahold of the velcro and chewed through it but I sewed it up. This morning - 2 weeks exactly - I woke to find the felt ring around his neck and no tubing. He some how had pulled it through and shredded it. It may be that he got it because over the 2 weeks the zipper would not stay closed. Also, it does not completely keep him from messing with his leg. It was good if he has a little supervision. I'd probably try this again but mixed thoughts on that.

Mr SmithMr Smith: Good price for item, which inflated and attached to collar well.
XL purchased, correct size as advertised for fit.
As you can see Rolo our OEB "loves" it! 🤣

Frankie: Useful collar and worked for what I wanted it for, not sure if it was comfortable as my dog hated it and learnt how to get it off, My dog is an escape artist with collars and harnesses so that's not surprising. But it stopped him from licking his leg where he has a sore something he was made worse by constantly licking it and biting the fur out, hopefully, this will help it heal more quickly then it has been.

James Rawes: Purchased xl for my 28kg lab who has recently been castrated. He’s happy to wear it which is half the battle and sometimes uses it as a pillow when he’s asleep. It could do with being a little wider as with Will and determination he can sometimes reach the parts he shouldnt. Still prefer this to the body suit the vets give you or the plastic cone of shame. The xl size only just fits. Can use with or without his collar

Debbie Marsh: I read the sizing info on this product before buying. It said to size up for our dog breed. I did this. Put it on my dog, unfortunately he managed to pull it off straight away. There are collar hoops on the inside so I will try threading it onto his usual collar, hopefully that might work. The product itself seems fine though. Far better than those awful plastic lampshade types.

LauriLauri: Overall this worked very well for our 10-month-old Australian Sheperd when we got her spayed a couple of weeks ago. She really doesn't seem to mind it at all and she likes it better than the body suit we got her to use as well. The only complaint I have is that I am not sure how well the straps on the inside opening that you are supposed to put the collar through are sown in. Within an hour of putting the donut on her after we got her home on the day of surgery, she had a jerk reaction and was able to rip one out with her paw. I sowed it back in but decided to try putting it on her without putting the collar through those straps. This actually worked just fine this way for us because she didn't seem to mind it and didn't try to get it off. It wouldn't have worked that way if she wanted off because she could have just pushed it off if she really wanted to.

Laura H: My puppy (midsized, 40 pounds) was spayed and had surgery on her paws. She chewed through three E-collars so I thought I would try this. It prevented her from licking her stitches from her spay, however, she was still able to reach her paws and lick those.
